Fire!

Pathfinder Adventure Path General Discussion

Can anyone help to jog my memory... it could have been in Dungeon or one of the earlier AP's but I remember an encounter where a building - or perhaps many buildings - are on fire and the PCs were required to be really creative in fighting the fire.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Many thanks.

The final book of Council of Thieves (AP# 30, The Twice-Damned Prince) has an article called "Catastrophe!" which has a section about a building being on fire and some options for GMs to use.

It's not an encounter, but would allow you to run one fairly easily.

Liberty's Edge

The first book of the recent Age of Ashes AP features a fire. That's almost certainly not what you're thinking of, but it is there.

I know my party had an incredibly frustrating encounter with fire during the riot section of Curse of the Crimson Throne, but I don't know if that was in the book or the GM added it.

Most fire mechanics in pathfinder kind of work the same. a size of starting fire which takes some kind of action, magic, or application of water to extinguish. Every round you're supposed to check each square to spread and in what direction and unless the party is really on top things you can't stop it.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Carrion Crown book 1, Haunting of Harrowstone.

...the mechanics sucked so I replaced it with a harvest festival using the content from Feast of Ravenmoor.

Shackled City AP.

Fire Elemental runs amok and starts to burn down buildings.
