hello everyone,
I'm new to the forums , but been wandering for a while now, having started a campaign of Kingmaker a year and half ago now. There is a number of incredibly good and informative topics (i think about DM_Dudemeister, redcelt 32, spatula, and numerous others). My players have now started varnhold vanishing for 3 sessions and have scratched the surface of Vordakai's lair. i've also implemented sevrela changes in the modules and was thinking presumptuously that someone could eventually find some of these changes to his /her liking.
Being a fan of the CRPG too, i've merged some of the core goals and motives (for exemple, in my campaign, Nyrissa is following the 1000 grains/kingdoms punishment as in the videogame; so, there is a part of destiny and prophecy in it, and that is why shyka as a part to play in it). In VV, i've integrated the Tiger Lords part where Dugath and his men wander the land, searching for a a weapon relic, but not knowing it is Briar (not the oculus of abadon like in the CRPG, because Nyrissa is growing anxious to retrieve it, having no answers from Irovetti for almost ten years now).
I've been placing the Tiger Lord's camp in the Hex situated north west of the valley of the dead, and south west from the linnorm's grave. As it is, the PCs can encounter the barbarians when coming from the Nomen's camp (after encountering them), or by wandering south along the Tor of Levenies.
here is the add-on to the module i've made if someone find it useful:

thanks for everyone who is reading this and let me know if you find it useful or not, so i will know if more additions are needed (or not).

sorry everyone, english is not my native language, and i noticed that the word "eventually" was not the word intended for the title of the thread and could have been understood as pedantic. that was not the intention; i was thinking of a meaning more like "possibly" or "maybe". so if i offended someone, i deeply apologize, because it was not intended as such, sorry for that!

Hey, thanks for sharing this. I'm about to dm my campaign so I'm still some time away from using it, but I don't see any reason not to. I don't have anything to add in terms of feedback, it's short and to the point and helps to make the world more colourful, so it's helpful already :)
Say, you mentioned other changes you made and things you changes based on the crpg, do you happen to have it accessible or plan to share these as well?

Yes, sure! I will have to make multiple posts, for there is much to say on this, if you want me to give every bit of information i've planned in my campaign. First of all, i started with one player and i have now two players, and to get a full party of four, i rely on two NPCs the leader of the baronny (as it is for the moment a baronny, the group being in full swing in VV, delving in the Big V's tomb!) asking them to join the group when it is necessary. The first character, namely Teros of Trismaer, a young male half elf, 27 years, appearing barely 18 as a human (paladin of Sarenrae 4/ wizard 5) is in search of his family after his human mother has been possessed by an undead and vanished with his elf father and half-sister. The second character, named Kyras Balrug, a male half-elf of roughly the same age (rogue 3/wizard /arcane trickster 3), has come to the stolen lands after the baronny was established, to have more opportunities than his low-life living in the suburbs of Mivon, and after the slaughter of his family by unknown assassins, he had no ties.
For a start, i had one player and i decided to start as the prologue of the CRPG, and make him go to an invitation of Jamandi Aldori he heard of, which was held at the mayor's palace in Restov. he came unattended, but got a go by Kassil Aldori who assessed the potential of the character. So, he stumbled upon a strange meeting in a fancy place, having bunchs of adventurers and mercenaries stranded in the same place, some laughing loud, some evaluating the possible threats, and so on. Teros met this evening Jamandi Aldori and Ioseph Selemius, who gave him the charter for the stolen lands, as well as the other charters (Dunsward for Megar Varn (with whom he had a short but friendly chat with), and Glenebon for Hannis Drelev, whom i made the master of a minor swordlord school of Restov). Teros met this evening, and began friendship with, Linzy (the halfling bard fleeing from Pitax, eager to prove her worth to those who had expeled her from the Academy of grand arts), Valerie (the human fighter, eager to prove to her family that she was right to refuse her planned destiny as Selyn's chosen), and Amiri (who was searching a fight worthy of her, and to prove to herself that she was as capable as any male fighter of her clan). Linzy immediatly accepted Teros as the hero of her story, and Valerie judged that he was of noble character (having defended linzy from a drunk mercenary before), and Amiri that he seemed to know how to fight, and that was it: the group was born.
As of note, about the charter: i made it a gamble from Restov and the swordlords; as it is noted in the charter, Restov acts with the authority granted by the regent of the dragonscale throne. I supposed that, as the tensions were beginning to show for some time now, Restov told the Surtovas the adventurers will do the job and thereafter, the regent could annex the lands cleaned. But they planned to give the PCs full autonomy, for if they lands will be threatened by war, being sponsored by Restov, they will share their fate if they didn't join their forces, making them allies by force, but allies nonetheless, bolstering up their defenses against a common enemy.
On Nyrissa: i made her judgment and exile the affair of only one eldest, but agreed by all: Shyka the many, who knew that Count Ralnac was responsible of the delusions of Nyrissa, and prophecized that she could see her life end or begin anew after she collected the grains of thousand kingdoms in the apology. So, there is an omen here which is not fixed/established because shyka saw the many futures and possibilities the players bring, but always at the end of the apology.
Here is the beginning of my campaign; if it fits or help you for yours, i will gladly continue on the additions i've made in another post.

hi again, everyone,
Real life has been hectic these last days; but i've used the few moments i had to adapt the documents i've made and translate them from french to english (please be kind, as i said it's not my native language).
So, to follow from my last post, i will add some informations to make the context (of the documents i've made) clearer for you. After the group left brevoy, they came to oleg's trading post and followed the events detailed in "stolen lands". I wanted to integrate two more NPCs from the CRPG, so, when the group entered the hex with the erastil statue (mentionned in the AP as encounter "N"), they met a group of technic league slavers, and liberated Octavia and Regongar. After that, the NPCs stayed with the group and completed the roster.
My goal with this was to use the reputation rules of UC and add deeper interaction with the NPCs, and integrate, as in the video game, personal quests, to make the discovery of their own stories more organic. I wrote a guideline text for every NPC character, with their multiple small quests, integrated in the different chapters of the AP, with two addendum, linked to two specific quest (one for the initial encounter with Regongar and Octavia; and the second which is tied to Amiri and happening in "Blood for Blood", and make full circle with Dugath's encounter in "Varnhold's Vanishing").
If you have questions or want to add suggestions, don't hesitate.
