I just DM'd the boss fight between the PC's and Queen Nazhena and I found it interesting that the players could push her into range allowing the hut to attack, though my players found an exploit (that I admittedly led them onto) which is just to simply touch the chain allowing free range of the hut to surely destroy everything in its path, though it seems the build-up of freeing the hut was not intended to be this way.
Should we count this as meta-gaming as I kind of told them they could touch the chains, should I just make her run (even though she is still max HP) or should I just allow it to teach myself a lesson of keeping my mouth shut.

She's not the Queen. She's just one of the Queen's many great granddaughters.
Have removing the Chain require each character with the Mantle to grab the Chain for a full round, not allowing them Dexterity bonuses or the like. Furthermore, have them realize the moment they touch the Chain that they have to pull away right that instant or they'll be stuck there for the full round. Thus the player has to decide if they will sacrifice their action (and even then only weaken the Chain until all of the PCs have done so) in order to hopefully get it to go after Nazhena.

the problem is that they are all knocked out but one, and Nazhena has almost no combat spells left unless I can switch out one her useless prepared spells for something better (for instance unshakable chill for chill touch). I think I will allow him to release the hut just to allow the campaign to continue.

Ah, that expands the story a bit. Initially I thought the group was trying to just cheese through the fight by having the Hut attack. This is more a desperation last-chance move, and is quite thematic. It's along the same lines as my having the Black Rider arrive and kill the atomie Oracle in the middle of Book 1.
Let the player unleash the Hut, and let Nazhena flee. (She can encounter them again outside the Hut at a higher level at the end of Book 3.)
