Hey!

I take it that you mean the various costers & priakos of the Heartlands, right?
If so, then they're listed below* (under the spoiler):

Spoiler:
  • * The Dragoneye Dealing Coster: oldest coster begun by Iltraven & Chethar (still running it) in the Vilhon Reach; now operating out of Iriaebor & Elturel.
  • * The Firehands Group: founded in 1357 DR out of Daerlun; run by Dhellart the Night Blade; caters to the run between Waterdeep & Sembia; a longstanding rival of the Iron Throne.
  • * The Highmoon Trading Coster: run by Guldelph Maremmon; has bases in Scornubel & Waterdeep; has exclusive access to certain spices from the South & far East; operates along the Sword Coast land routes.
  • * The Iron Throne: secretive & shady; founded by the cambion Sfena (disappeared); operates between Hillsfar & Baldur's Gate; dominates the weapons trade; run by the disguised storm giant Krakosh (from Lords of Darkness).
  • * The Merchant's League: operates out of Baldur's Gate; was in decline until Dabron Sashenstar assumed its leadership (1372 DR); is challenging the Iron Throne on its control of weapon shipments.
  • * The Red Shields: formerly a mercenary company before Bronthar Helmbrind took command; operates out of Scornubel, where it also serves as the official army (under Vuldan) & police force (under Miftat); caters to the run between Neverwinter & Amn (including Waterdeep & Scornubel itself).
  • * The Seven Suns Trading Coster: run by seven partners from throughout Faerûn, viz. Jhasso (Baldur's Gate), Shierd (Everlund), Pomphur (Almraiven), Chond (Calaunt), Alvund (Ormpetarr), Dzunn (Sheirtalar), & Nammna (Milvarune).
  • * The Six Coffers Market Priakos: run by Thelve Baruinheld out of Berdusk, with other bases in Priapurl, Selgaunt, Silverymoon & Waterdeep; 4 of the original 6 partners are still alive, viz. Ultramm (Selgaunt), Syntel (Iriaebor), Maftan (Waterdeep) & Szwentil (Marsember).
  • * The Stags Caravan Company formerly an adventuring company now taken over by three young merchants from Amn (Scorm, Hlevell, & Dindar Pel) hoping to make it big away from Amn; the aging adventurer Black Tomm Bharhinn is the company's trail general.
  • * The Surefeet Trademasters: based in Scornubel; run by Pheng Thelombur, Aramma Dulve, & Prist Thelmip; specialises in providing expert guides, escorts & guards, as well as their own trading (especially in rich finds from tombs & temple ruins).
  • * The Thousandheads Trading Coster: run by former adventurer Bharavan Bhaerkantos out of Riatavan; operates a single route from Waterdeep to Hillsfar via Scornubel, Berdusk, Iriaebor, Proskur, Arabel & Essembra; has a no-nonsense & fearsome reputation - few dedicated caravan raiders tangle with them twice as it is known for tracking down & eliminating said raiders.
  • * The Trail Lords: directed by Mhereg Ssar; backed by the Red Wizards; deals in nonmagical cargo shipped between cities with Red Wizard enclaves.
  • * The Trueshield Trading Priakos: based in Telpir (the Dragon Coast); run by Dzentraven Thiomtul, who had the idea to use sealed wagons packed with the goods of small shippers with a common destination (think container shipping!).
  • * The Windriders Trading Coster: consists of sixty or so anonymous young merchants represented (& led) by Torshilim Firetel (under a white pegasus emblem); was formerly based out of Westgate; has a bit of a wild reputation for fierce competition; offers swift & discreet carrier services throughout the North.

Hope this is what you were looking for. Good luck with your game!

Carry on,

--C.

Note *:
This list doesn't include organizations such as the Zhentarim, Red Wizards of Thay, front groups of the Cult of the Dragon, or costers/companies sponsored by various noble families (such as those of Waterdeep) & by the Lords' Alliance.

I'm not sure of the date for which the above is applicable, although the book seems to suggest that the campaign takes place two years after the new leader of the Merchant's League took control, so 1374 DR? (Also, the book was published in 2006 if that helps.)
