How to create a PFS character in Core campaign mode?

Hi! How do I instruct my players to create a Core campaign character nowadays?

There used to be a button in My Organized Play specifically for Core campaign.

That button is no more there.

I thought maybe now all PFS 1 characters were Core by default until they play in their first normal campaign.

It is not the case.

How one creates a Core campaign character?

Interesting.. I have no idea why the create a Core Character button is gone.

It's not showing up in my account, either.

It may have something to do with the website tinkering they've been doing.

I would make a separate thread in the Website Feedback Forum to bring it to Paizo's attention.

In the meantime, you can still have them create characters and you can still run them through games. You'll/They'll just have to manually track who's been playing what so that reporting can be updated when the system comes back.

Ok, I have opened related thread on Website Feedback. Let's see what arises.

The problem is we are playing this one as PbP. The players will be using an alias to post their actions but then will have to create a mirror Core character for reporting if they ever fix it. Any ideas on a best solution for this setting?

Sure!

When I use Pregens or NPCs I have aliases set up like "Ubiquitous NPC" or "Best Pregen Ever!", names that are general and can be reused multiple times. I then put the character's actual name as the first part of their header.

If they don't want to create more Aliases (Lord knows I have a lot myself), just have them do the above with their regular forum handle.
