The Paizo website is ... surprisingly bad...

I keep waiting for it to improve. And every now and again it does... only to get even more difficult to work with.

One step forward and three back...

It has gotten to the point it takes more than 20 minutes to buy a PFS scenario - and even then it appears to have charged me several times for it.

I introduced several new/old players to the Society, and tried to show them the advantages of Organized Play - or at least where to access the 10 years of available content... After an hour of trying, the three of us (all IT professionals) simply gave up.

Yeah - I have given up (mostly)posting to the boards. Often I can’t even get to them. It took me more than 10 minutes just to get to this board - and I never did get the link to customer service to work...

Tremendously frustrating.

Conventions aren't even getting scenario drops anymore. The current rumor is there's only a single person left handling digital assets.

Doesn't leave me much hope for website development. At least archivesofnethys took a load off their shoulders.

The Exchange

the site used to at least work, then (rumor is) they got some "professionals" in to "fix" things... and were down for several weeks.

When we got it "back", everything was scrambled up and VERY difficult to find anything. I know they lost several casual players among my circle of friends. And over time, it's gotten worse.

Now it is a major pain to even BUY things... not a good thing for the company. I have even started to avoid the boards (mostly because I can't actually GET to them most of the time. Unless I have posted on the tread... or take 5 minutes of repeatedly hitting the link and being directed somewhere else...

Where did you see that Conventions are no longer getting scenario drops?

You won't see it.

People will complain in meat-space because it happened to them one too many times.

PacifiCon, this upcoming weekend. Nobody got their downloads (myself included). In conversations with people under NDAs, it sounds bleak.

When you only have one person in charge of digital assets, things will either be delayed or missed.

Conventions still get scenarios as part of their event support package.

Timing can be an issue, especially for events falling around one of the Paizo-sponsored conventions such as PaizoCon, Origins, or Gen Con.

Right now, Org Play is a one deep shop on the operations side, so if organizers have an event close to one of the big ones, I suggest they keep in close contact with me.

Speaking specifically about PacificCon, the scenarios dropped, but at the 11th hour due to a string of issues. My deepest apologies to those GMs that got things at the last moment. As far as I know, all GMs got their scenarios. If you are still missing something in your account, please reach out to me at organizedplay@paizo.com so I can get it added asap.

The best I can ask is for organizers to send in the forms early, then follow up if they don't hear anything within a week. This will ensure that 1) I get it and 2) it is on the radar for processing in a timely manner.

Again, apologies to all GMs who are getting files at the last minute.

My brother tried to buy Plaguestone but both of his credit cards were denied. He has been making online purchases with these same cards with other online stores.

I was able to purchase using store credit but got a weird error and 10-20 seconds later (I was stunned) got taken to the sales complete screen.

Trying to buy the new books today and it both wouldn't take my billing address and is refusing my good payment. Frustrating as hell.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

and for downloads you have to click the download link 9 million times before it works

You do? I click it twice.

We've got some issues with content not refreshing quickly; this can lead to a wide variety of curious behaviors. A fix is on the way.

Grand Lodge

Soon(tm)! hahaha...

Typically, it's rather easy...

One click to personalize, wait 60 second (the difficult part for many - I used to be one of them) and click again... as clearly stated.

It's a miniscule bit of friction, but nothing offensive.

Peace! Game on!

It's never even actually 60 seconds. Usually less than 30.

It usually only takes me 10-15 seconds.

Shadow Lodge

It sounds like you are describing a different issue than 'clicking the download link 9 million times'.

Shadow Lodge

Then don't complain about people responding to a different issue?

The purchase issue is definitely a big problem.

Yea, there is definitely a problem. It took me 15 minutes to get the Paizo Store to actually apply my current credit card to my order for the CRB, then when I got the Bestiary, it took about the same amount of time again, because the store wanted to let me choose between all the expired cards I'd removed from my account, not the current one I bought the CRB with, for about 10 minutes until my current card randomly showed up as a payment option. I have to admit this is getting increasingly frustrating.
