Hello group, TruebornAtiles here with a thread to open up on how we create new monsters and NPCs in the 2nd edition of pathfinder, aside from the few templates I found in the Bestiary I have not been able to locate anything on creating NPCs in either book, maybe I over looked something, a lot of the game seems like a make it up as you go kind of mechanic and I am starting to miss my random gen tables for encounters and the like.
SO now i'm making it all up and throwing stats around like a food fight, anyone come up with an interesting mechanic on this at all?

You can do it in three methods.
-The character creation process (would only recommend for a major npc), using an elf for a drow isn't too different toss in the innate magic from the bestiary and you are good to go.
-Elite and Weak Adjustments, it works fine on combat-focused monsters.
-Just modifying a thing or two on some statblocks and give it another name or look for their abilities. A gorilla can easily become a Monk of the same level, gorilla 3 = Monk 3 and nobody would be able to tell the difference. A succubus can easily represent an enchanter wizard etc...
The biggest thing, players don't see what's behind the GM screen, so for now until npc creation official rules, that would be good enough.
Someone posted the stats of monsters at every level, so you could consider that too, forgot the name of the forum user.
