I just received an email from Paizo customer service letting me know that my Core Set and Curse of the Crimson Throne set subscription order was processing.
The 20% discount *almost* offset the shipping. Or rather, the shipping was only slightly more than the discount. Overall, it looks like I'm just about breaking even compared to buying it at my local game store. YMMV.
Shipping in 3-19 business days...tee hee!

PSA for any other international subscribers out there - check your orders!
I had my sub set to start with Crimson Throne (i.e skip Core). However, purely by chance I actually read what it's in my generated order - and it was BOTH Core and Throne, with the corresponding double-whammy on shipping! I wrote to support, but in case you fall on the low end of ""shipping in X days", your order might get sent before they could react, so you'll get charged for that.
(I suppose the issue is not only with internationals, but I don't expect any US player has actually skipped Core to report such an issue)

I didn't see any promo cards in the shipping notice. Does this mean...there are no promo cards?
There are promos, unsure if it will be listed or not
here are six new promo cards for these products. Subscribers will get all six along with their subscription shipment of Curse of the Crimson Throne. They will also be available in these ways:
Four of the six—the blessing The Real Rabbit Prince, the weapon The Tall Knife, the item The Unveiling, and the ally Asyra—are in a special Curse of the Crimson Throne promo pack we're sending out to retailers as part of a special launch kit in May. (If you're hoping to procure these from your favorite retailer, make sure they're ordering the launch kit from their distributor!)
The armor Corpse Plate will be available at larger Pathfinder Society events in the next year, starting at PaizoCon on May 24.
The spell Embiggen will appear in an upcoming issue of Game Trade magazine.

I'm moving during the shipping period so had to freeze my subscription until end of May. I'll be a week or two behind the rest of you but I'm super excited! I already have all my sleeves for both Core+Curse!
I'm moving too. Thankfully my friend is letting me ship it to her house instead. =)

Yeah, I considered that option, but figured one less thing to move! Got to keep my priorities straight until we're moved and mostly unpacked LOL! Best of luck with your move!

Personally, I like the art better now that I've seen it on actual cards instead of just the computer screen. I wasn't sure how I felt about having different templates for various types of cards, but it actually looks pretty nice. My biggest complaint is that some of the color choices for the banners across the top are a little too similar, especially in low light (mainly barrier & scourge). But overall the color choices are much better than they used to be. Granted, I'm usually pretty good at distinguishing colors, so maybe I'm not the best judge of that?
I haven't gotten to play yet, but all of Core is sleeved & organized. We left Curse cards in their plastic wrap for now, because we want to play Dragon's Demand before we peek at the Curse cards :)
Also, in case you missed it (because I almost did), the purple card that says "Open Me First" has the Perils Wildcard tracker on the back...my guess is that if you actually open that pack first & follow the quick start guide, it will mention that, but I haven't read the guide yet...

I had to settle for buying the games off the store normally. The subscription would not let me change the starting product away from Ultimate Wilderness. Every time I tried to do so in checkout, it would just switch back on the next screen.
Hopefully I'll be able to grab the promo's easily. Would suck to miss out on them just because I didn't want Ultimate Wilderness, a product I already owned.

If your product hasn't shipped yet, you might be able to contact Paizo support and have them fix that for you. I had difficulties with my online order as well (the sub just wouldn't initiate with Throne and always reverted to Core), but those guys were brilliant as ever, swooped in and fixed it in a jiffy.

It seems they know how to :glasses: work the system. (*CSI Miami intro plays in the background*)
