Are said files even compatible with consumer 3D printers? Or would they require specialized manufacturing equipment most folks can't afford?
Some significant modifications would need to be made to print the models themselves, however very little work would need to be done to create a negative 3D image to print as a mold for casting

I am curious if this will have an impact on the Pathfinder Battles schedule. Will both have two sets per year? One set per year each? I hope for two sets each per year but my wallet doesn't. However it goes I will make it work.

Ugh I so hope it isn't two sets each per year. Since I'm already purchasing all the Pathfinder Battles sets and the all Dungeons and Dragons sets, I'm already over budget. But I'm totally getting whatever Starfinder minis come out too. At least as long as it is affordable. Having to choose which sets to purchase would be sad.

So since paizo is opening the license to allow wizkids to produce starfinder miniatures, will they be allowing the backers of the previous failed release to produce their own by providing the appropriate files?
This is on topic and also has been ignored repeatedly in other threads
From this post:
Here is where we (still) sit with that. Ninja Division is late on their Kickstarter, but they are working on a means to fulfill their commitments. We are supporting them as best we can, as our goal is to help them fulfill their Kickstarter, but we cannot discuss anything that might be in progress.
Ninja Division retains a license to create unpainted Starfinder miniatures in order to be able to complete their Kickstarter obligations, and none of that changes with this new partnership.

I’m all about Wizkids unpainted miniatures. For me, they’re the best rpg product to come along in years. Maybe decades.
I don’t care for prepainted minis and I dislike the blind box model.
I’m relatively confident once the mess with ND is cleared up WK will release unpainted miniatures for Starfinder.
