im unsure how i should stat this but the idea i was going for was to make lots of
little inexpensive low hp constructs with decent AC,
possibly give em evasion to help prevent them from all easily being wiped out by a single AOE spell, and play them tactically, keep em scattered out and use stealth and sniping. or do the opposite and take advantage of really small stuff being able to fit multiple units on a single 5 foot space and set them up in areas difficult for bigger folks to swarm em.
probably make atleast one intelligent construct giving em commands to help them be tactical and such. maybe a smaller then normal variant of a soulbound doll?. perhaps give it a couple of class levels depending on how high a CR the threat its going up against is?.
Have em fight dirty, attempt to destroy peoples healing items. attempt to use dirty tricks to blind their target. and in general be an annoyance because people with loads of damage would be over-killing it if they hit, hitting one of them. and there still being plenty left.
and maybe give em a single use item that works like something similar to a scroll of fireball, possibly at a higher CL then normal depending on the level of the threat they face, and have them use it if there down to like one unit left or very few units left.
maybe a bead off a necklace of fireballs?. possible metamagiced to be maximized if against higher level opponents?.
some of the problems im running into are how to keep their damage high enough to not be taken as a joke by anybody higher then the first four levels. even if there are lots of them. and how to still be able to harm something with DR.
and how to keep them inexpensive enough for there to be a whole lot of them.
if you were trying to make these how would you stat them out?.
