So this is the story of how my day went from "Mornings...I need less of them" to "FING HELL!!" in the span of less than 12 hours.
So as you might know, I'm a pet sitter. That means when I don't have to stay over or look after a dog(s) who owners are away, I often travel to a home, walk and/or let dog play outside in a fenced in area.
My latest client lives fairly close but it's still requires me being up and around before 10:45 am so that I can be there by 11 to walk two golden retrievers (and sometimes a black labrador).
Now in the process of figuring out good routes to take (because this is a college town) I started using a road that normally I wouldn't. Why you ask? Well there's one part to it that's is VERY narrow. Like you can barely get one car pass the other on what's SUPPOSED to be a two lane road. Normally this isn't a problem if it's a regular vehicle (IE I can get past most full size flatbed pickups, even in my car) But today...today was not that day.
Recently this road has collected MORE traffic due to the high instances of people wanting a quick way home past a certain roundabout that honestly isn't doing what it's supposed to be doing. But even so...I was driving up the road when I had a rather large box truck come almost BARRELING down at me as I tried to drive past the most narrow part of the road. I ended up running over the side of the road...which isn't really a side so much as drainage ditch that was put in there some time ago after they repaved the road...
Naturally I didn't think of it...until I noticed I wasn't getting as much speed going up the road...and so I had to turn into a local commercial area that's not far from where the main road leads up to the roundabout.
I find I have not one but TWO flat tires. I was pissed. I was upset. But I called Mom. She was less happy especially since she had places SHE wanted and needed to go too. But since I had three dogs that needed me (and I wasn't thinking clearly PLUS the fact it was off the road and thus NOT in the way of oncoming traffic NOR was it blocking the entrance.) we managed to go to all my clients.
After taking care of them, we drove past where I left the car...and then that's when the s~*& REALLY hit the fan... I mean no one screamed or anything but it was...startling for me to find the property manager coming over and asking my mom "Is this yours?" and then "We already called for someone to tow it." (Btw we had also called our garage and while they would keep it, they couldn't guarantee it would be fixed before Saturday. So we went past the Goodyear place [which my mom had sworn off after they were going to charge me 1,000 dollars for a 750 fix on my brakes]; they could take and replace it the same day.) So we waited...and the tow guy couldn't find us, but his wife did find us and helped us out. I paid 60 out of the 65 (Mom had a five) in cash. Gave the guy the key after he managed to put the spare on the back tire (though he ended up having to use the hook on the tow because the jack kept slipping) and then off it went.
So we come home, there was a phone message that Mom got while I was out taking care of OUR dogs. Apparently they couldn't find the keys I had given them but that got sorted out. But the REAL meat of it came later when the Goodyear place called us to tell me "Yeah...we need a part before we can put tires on it...and it will definitely need 4 new tires." Naturally I wasn't thrilled about paying MORE for it...but they called us back, telling us they could get the part cheap but it wouldn't be ready until tomorrow afternoon (Thursday afternoon.)
So...overall...not my best day. But at least the car is only out of commission for a brief period... And I don't have to go visit my new client tomorrow twice like I did today...since they'll be home.

Friend of mine has a nice "Eddie Bauer" SUV. A while back, he had a problem. Thought it was the transmission. Thing is, he was out of town on a planned camping trip. So he had it towed into some place in or near Utica (about two and a half hours from here). Turned out it wasn't the transmission. It was the differential. Got that fixed after a couple or three weeks, went back to Utica to pick it up. A couple weeks later, he's in Vermont (another camping trip) and has another problem. This time it really was the transmission. He just can't win. :-)

Not to be confused with SCREAMING BANSHEE that makes you lose control of your feet and you yell safety!
Safety-dance!
Ah we can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're are no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to, a place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind,
And we can dance
We can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're are no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to a place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
And we can dance.
Dances!
Ah we can go when we want to the night is young and so am i
And we…
I had a nip tonight. Why do you ask?

You make it sound like these things are mutually exclusive.

LOL it's fine. It reminded me of everyone I knew growing up (and in some cases still know) who swear one is better than the other all the time.

So now I'm confused...
Initially I wanted to replace my paladin (who died in tragic dice related circumstances) with a lighting sylph sorcerer (stormborn bloodline) 5/Oracle of Wind 5/Mystic Theurge 3, only to find a) some of the choices are sub optimal in terms of being MUCH lower casting than some of the party (IE we have a witch and a druid...) but at the same time I'd take the hit on other things improving my Mystic Theurge but still feeling very...behind the curve.
So while it's not TOTALLY gone away...I've made other considerations;
First up is the Elf oracle archetype and probably going Lore so that I keep SOME divine spellcasting, but still able to cast a few wizard/sorcerer spells... Trouble is...that doesn't feel like enough.
So then I thought "Well there's always Arcanist..." but I come to find out that while I can cast heal spells with White Mage...I can't TRULY admix like you can with say, School Savant and using that instead. But again, I lose healing spells in favor of blasting. But some times I think we need blasters if only because our Ranger can't kill ALL the giants at once.
So now I'm just like... stuck.
Also my dogs keep whining. It's VERY annoying.

UGH. I have been up all night with no sleep because of severe heartburn. I haven't dealt with this sort of thing in years and every time I lie down it starts up again. For many years I dealt with acid reflux, taking meds and watching my diet and such, but it eventually went away. This feels an awful lot like how that did. I sure hope I don't have to put up with that mess again.

Ask your GM about these options, maybe? Technically 3rd party, but there's the Theurge-as-Oracle-Mystery in there if your table is okay with it.
Apologies if this is opening a taboo can of worms. I don't know what's allowed at your table.
EDIT: There's this Paizo bloodline that's focused on healing spells. Gives you a decent healer from the arcane side what can blast away with the rest of their list if you want.
