Chalen
Chalen the swarm acts before you. And don't forget you took 3 hp of fire damage earlier in the round
Ah crap, forgot the swarm has the jump on me. Already marked the damage earlier this evening, btw.
Louinor and Chalen take 2 points of damage.
Updated again, yikes, down to 1 hp.
Chalen are you flanking Jeva as well or moving out of range?
Hauling arse to where I can heal myself and then return.
The-Last-Rogue's Dungeon Master
Bobek hurls a torch that sails wide of its mark (this is a ranged attack in melee so this provokes an attack of opportunity); Jeva absently swipes out a claw as Bobek regains his composure and grips his longspear. Jeva rolls 1d20+3 = 3, misses. The claws swipes scant inches from Bobek's throat.
With a harsh growl, Jeva turns her attention to what she figures is the more dangerous opponent . . .the man with the silver dagger. She explodes forward in fury of claws and fangs. Remember that Malleon and Bobek are flanking Jeva. Jeva is using a full attack action against Malleon. 1st claw is 1d20+3 = 20, Damage is 1d4+1 = 3; 2nd claw is 1d20+3 = 11, misses. The bite is 1d20-1 = 5, misses.
After a crushing blow to his midsection, Malleon is able to turn aside the worst of the attacks.
Louinor's go. Torches are within reach, a move action to pick them up. Swarm is still on you.
Louinor
Louinor watches as the last of her 'brave' companions darts up the ladder. By now the spiders are clawing up her arms biting her all over.
First Fort 8 second 12

She grabs her butterfly holy symbol and says a quick prayer to Desna.
swapped summon monster I for cure light wounds curing 8 hps
Her body flows with the strength of her goddess and most of her spider bits close. She turns and runs up the stairs as quickly as possible.
When she reaches the top she stops in confusion, Where did that come from. she thinks as she looks at the werewolf. "Jeva, where is Jeva?" she calls and starts looking around.
Louinor stops as she notices the blue dress on the monsterous were-wolf Oh Desna she is the were-wolf..
Malleon Harper
Malleon lunges and slashes with the silver blade. "Burns, doesn't it?" Attack 1d20+5 = 19 Damage 1d4+2 = 5 * I counted a flank bonus from Bobek
Then he bounds backwards, out of the reach of the werewolf's claws, before taunting it more, waving it forward with his left hand while the silver blade is held ready in his right.
Move 15' directly away from the monster, so as not to draw an attack of opportunity. But I don't want her to get another full attack on me. I sure hope she doesn't have pounce.
The-Last-Rogue's Dungeon Master
Malleon it is Oso's turn.
Louinor calls upon her faith to mend her quickly accumulating wounds . . .she casts off the last of the still-active swarm and scurries up the ladder. Louinor, are you going to be adjacent to Jeva?. Oso is now alone in the cellar, a swarm of spiders still stirring. Two lit torches burn idly on the floor with in reach.
Oso's go.
The-Last-Rogue's Dungeon Master

Just to let you know this would draw an AoO. You must either make a 5' ft move (still subjecting you to a full attack) or withdraw. Other than that any move out of a threatened square is an AoO. Unless there is something I am missing.

Oops. Thats what I get for posting when I'm supposed to be working, lol.
I forgot that the original initiative was modified, so I wasn't immediately Louinor. And I meant to make Tumble (15) check as part of that movement to avoid the AoO. I was trying to make Jeva decide to pursue me and draw AoO's of her own, or ignore the man with the silver blade who just slashed her. Plus avoiding the full attack by going toe to toe with her.
I'll re-do my action in the proper order.
Oso Legumbe
The raging barbarian follows everyone else out of the hole.
Move action
As he clears the trapdoor,Oso launches himself at the wolven. He tries to duck under any claws and then with a forehand slices at the creatures face with the argent knife.
Attack roll 20+5=25, Confirm threat 15+5=20, Damage (less -1 for silver on dagger) = 2d4-2+8 = 5+6 = 11
A telling blow and a cry to the mighty,"Kill it now!"
The-Last-Rogue's Dungeon Master
Oso springs into action. He scurries past and over the swarm and out into the autumn day, his silver dagger flashes as the sunlight hit it . . .then it is covered in blood as the barbarian lands a telling blow against the wolf-child.

Initials are used. Malleon, Oso, and Bobek all threaten (and our threatened by Jeva). Chalen and Louinor are a bit off. T stands for the trapdoor . . . where the swarm still is and two burning torches.
Chalen
The swarm goes before I do, but I'll be asleep until midnight. Posting now so as not to hold things up.
Chalen retrieves a healing potion from his backpack and quaffs the contents greedily (1d8+1 = 8). The charred skin flakes off, and the reddened bite marks quickly fade away.
Not marked off as of yet, in case something goes awry.

Malleon the damage is actually 4. Silver weapons have a -1 damage.
Malleons takes advantage of the werewolf's distraction; a quick thrust opens another grievous wound and a spurt of blood. Jeva howls in pure agony.
Suddenly, an angry clacking noise heralds the riled up and relentless swarm of spiders. Like a dark cloud, the arachnids roll up the trapdoor entrance and over Bobek and Jeva. The werewolf seems unbothered by their biting; Bobek does. Bobek takes 2 points of damage. Make two Fortitude saves (DC11). If you fail the first you lose 1 point of strength from poison; if you fail the second you are nauseated - - means a move action only on your next turn.
Chalen watches the events unfold whilst rummaging through his pack for a potion of healing. He quickly downs the cool blue liquid and feels an invigorating relief wash over him.
Bobek's go.
Bobek
Wow, cutting us no slack! Fort roll 1 = 17, Fort roll 2 = 20 (whew!)
Bobek will swallow his fear and blink the spiders from his eyes while taking a 5 ft step away from Jeva (not quite clear on the positions, but hope there is a spot where he can get reach and not fall in the trapdoor).
With a lunge of his longspear, Bobek yells shrilly "You'll not eat me for dinner!"
Rolled a 2 to attack. Crap. Wasted all my good rolls on the Fort saves!
The-Last-Rogue's Dungeon Master
Bobek fends off the spider's to the best of his abilities and unleash's a spear thrust that misses its mark.
Jeva looses a growl that slowly becomes a high-pitched scream. With a savage rending noise her body contorts from wolf-like to that of her normal waifish form. She crumples to the ground, loud sobs racking her body. "I am sorry! I can't help it!" Her cries are muffled as the spiders continue to swarm over her.
Jeva is now in human form. The swarm covers her and Bobek. It is Louinor's go.
Oso Legumbe
Oso pays no heed to the wailing girl. She is an evil monster and not to be trusted. In his rage there are no shades of grey, it is all black and white. And red, very red.
He slashes down at the creature.

"Die, now, foul wolf-beast!"

Oso
Malleon's go. Swarm is still on Bobek.

for the DM
There were two reasons for his actions.
Firstly she had put us in grave danger. A possible TPK. That made her very dangerous indeed. Not some little girl but a clever calculating monster.
Getting Bobek alone up top and then attacking made her very cunning. She was not innocent and weak.
Secondly Oso comes from a harsh wilderness existence where there was a code of honour and protection for all, BUT there would be no second chances. The wilderness would not be that forgiving and nor would its people.
Put that together and add the fact that she couldn't be trusted and it didn't matter what she did, Oso regarded her as far too dangerous and untrustworthy. Trust is a big thing for Oso and had she been a creature of honour, then he may have acted differently.
Reading the PHB on Good and Chaotic Good, it is very debatable whether or not his actions were "kind" or "benevolent" as well. But a raging barbarian probably doesn't have those beliefs. Under the circumstances she didn't even register on his "moral compass".
If you feel that Oso's alignment is out of step then I am more than willing to alter his alignment to CN. Your call.
The-Last-Rogue's Dungeon Master
Malleon rushes forward and yanks Bobek out of the swarm; but the swarm is mindless and unrelenting; these vicious spiders acting as one continue their unabated, mindless savagery. The swarm moves over the two closest, Oso and Louinor. By now you guys know the drill with the Fort saves. Also take 3 points of damage.
Chalen's go.

Begins collecting wood to built a pyre for Jeva.
"Louinor, I'm sure you are familiar with this sort of thing. Something your faith says over the fallen, perhaps? Poor child. Hopefully she didn't pass on her taint to any of us, I'd hate for Oso to have to kill us in our sleep."
"I suppose we had better finish searching the cellar as well."
Oso Legumbe
Oso looks at the party with murder in his eyes. For a few seconds he fights the urge to tear into the rest. His bloody dagger twitches for veins and hearts.
Then the big warrior seems to shrink and his muscles calm. Oso staggers forward and seeing the fight over collapses by the arch.
The black warrior sits with his chest heaving and wounds seeping freely. Every few seconds he shakes his head and rubs his neck.
Then he looks at the rest working.
"What happened?"

"I suppose we had better finish searching the cellar as well."
"That 'poor child' almost killed us all! Lest you forget, a minute ago she tried to eat Bobek! And she was hardly defenseless!" Malleon gestures to the ragged wounds on his chest that he is attempting to clean with a brandy-soaked rag.
"Poor child? She was a murderous monster! Do you see a full moon in the sky?" Malleon points at the morning sky. "Did she not wait until most of us were down in the cellar, fighting for our lives with the spiders before trying to eat Bobek? She knew exactly what she was doing, right down to trying to claim mercy when she realized we had silver blades that could harm her!"
"I just hope that she didn't kill the real 'poor children', those lost kids that we are searching for."
Malleon is keeping the silver dagger, unless anyone has an objection
Oso Legumbe
Oso looks puzzled.
"How could that little girl eat someone? She is so small and weak."
"Did you kill her, Malleon? I see blood on your new blade. There is no honour in her death."
The other silver dagger lies near Jeva's body. Forgotten by Oso.
Chalen
Louinor
Louinor drops her morningstar and slowly walks over to the small girl. Jeva, I sorry that I couldn't protect you.
"Louinor, I'm sure you are familiar with this sort of thing. Something your faith says over the fallen, perhaps? Poor child. Hopefully she didn't pass on her taint to any of us, I'd hate for Oso to have to kill us in our sleep."
"Yes I can say some thing that might help this poor girls spirit move to a better place." Louinor tells Chalen as she starts helping him with wood for a pyre.
"Poor child? She was a murderous monster! Do you see a full moon in the sky?" Malleon points at the morning sky. "Did she not wait until most of us were down in the cellar, fighting for our lives with the spiders before trying to eat Bobek? "I just hope that she didn't kill the real 'poor children', those lost kids that we are searching for."
Louinor glares at Malleon but bits back the harsh words she was going to say because she knows he is right, there is no full moon and she turned and tried to kill Bobek on purpose.
"She still needs to be treated with respect so let build the small pyre and send her spirit to the hand of Desna properly."Chalen's stomach rumbles ominously as he finishes piling the pyre with fallen wood from nearby. "I do not feel well at all. Is anyone else ill?"
"I feel sick also." Louinor pipes in as the adrenaline wears off and she almost falls from her weakened state.
Also failed with a excellent 4.So I am down to 5 hps and 6 Str

Oso looks at the troubled mage. He feels fine, other than a few deep cuts and a myriad of bites, scratches and scrapes.
Oso Fort roll 11+3=14
He gets up and moves closer to Chalen.
"I have a drink which will help steady your stomach. Try some gasra, I have some left." The barbarian points to his saddlebag with the large jug.
Then when he is close, Oso whispers to Chalen, "Sometimes I am told about things I do and they are bad. Do I want to know who killed the girl, friend?"
"Or not?"
As he speaks, the black skinned warrior half-heartedly collects firewood from the ruin - not so proud, not so strong.
Bobek
Bobek shivers as he stomps the frozen carcasses of spiders to black dust on the ground.
secondary Fort Save = 20 (dang, where are those numbers when I roll attacks?
Bobek regards Chalen with a newfound awe, "Stranger, you've got some wild power within you! P'haps the beast-girl was drawn to your magics rather than the taste of my skin?"
Bobek frowns at the funeral pyre as he gathers his shortbow, "One thing's sure... she won't be feasting again."
The-Last-Rogue's Dungeon Master
The group gathers a pyre together and places Jeva's body within it. The curling smoke crawls up into the Autumn sky, a plume of black mingling with the bright blue above. The cackle of the flame enters a slow rhythm.
by the time this is complete it is 9:15 in the morning. Louinor looks pretty bad, though Chalen does look feverish as well.

"I have wounds, but my body is strong enough." Oso may be telling tall tales with this.

Striking flint and steel as he attempts to light the pyre.
Loudly, Chalen exclaims, “Where in the name of all the gods do you keep finding more of that awful swill?”
Whispered to Oso “I do know, but it is best not to dwell on evil deeds, even well intentioned ones. If you remember anything about today, bear in mind that we are your friends, and you owe me a lamp.”
Malleon Harper
Malleon will claim the other silver dagger (after cleaning it). I'll also check down below to see if the lamp is salvagable, and also grab that bag of herbs if no one else does.
"Bobek, Louinor? Do you know if these might be useful?" Malleon says as he holds up the bag of herbs.

Louinor
"Wolfbane..... Oh, I think Elara knew what Jeva was and was holding her down there in that cellar."
Louinor looks at the pyre as the flames grew higher. "Poor girl.... I know she was evil in the end but she might not have been before she was cursed with the were shape." I hope you find peace in death Jeva.
"I don't know if I am in the condition to chase after those kids but what is the plan now?"

Oso watches Louinor silently. He broods over the words of Chalen and what may have happened.
Torn between different thoughts over the little girl, this party and the monster they described he plays no part in the planning.
