How long is it taking to complete Lost Star?

Chapter 1 is scheduled at local PFS night. Just wondering how long it is taking folks to complete Lost Star, as 4 hours seems insufficient, but would like to be proven wrong. Assume folks come with PCs or will use pregens, so no time spent on character creation.

Took my group just under 4h, not including character creation & prep. This was with a character death and leaving to get a new PC from town, plus a lot of rules discussion and 2E feedback. I think it could be done in about 2.5h if you were aiming for speed without going all-out. Straight up speedrunning like I do sometimes could clear it in practically no time. 30m possibly.

Spoiler:
Only 2 encounters (first goblins and Drukus) are really required for a total of 5 enemies, about 70 hp a party needs to kill to end the section. Everything else is a waste of time and party resources, since there is no xp reward and items are inconsequential here

It took us 4,5 hours, including a lengthy get to know intro of 30 minutes. 6 Players, 3 complete PF2 newbies. We only left out the main goblin room and the treasure rooms.
THe GM has a lot of control over how many encounters he wants to run based on the info he gives you at the beginning.

Just over 4.5 hours for my group. This was split across 2 sessions due to character creation time and other distractions, like breaking for dinner.

It took my group 4 hours and 15 minutes, with two encounters skipped (Quasits and Main Goblin Team).

It took us about 5 hours with 5 players without the vermin room, dead goblins room & fungus room.

The more players and the more inexperienced ones with the rules, the longer it takes.

It will also speed up things if you know how the hazards and monsters work beforehand and the skill challenges like thievery to pick a lock.

Took my group ~6.5 hours of casual play, but they triggered every single encounter and took their sweet time roleplaying in the empty rooms, cracking jokes, and "interacting" with the hazards.

We are 3.5 hr in and just finished the fountain encounter. I'm not sure why we so much slower than average. I'm normally a fast GM.

3 x 3h sessions, with plenty of character introductions and roleplay the first session, near tpk 2nd session, and very very careful sneaking the 3rd session. Having 6 players sure makes the games drag, at least with these playerx. Seem to have fun, so all good!

Yeah, this emulates my experience so far. I'm like... 6 hours into it? And we just finished the Quasit room. I am hoping we actually finish next week so we can do the survey... :(

I took us 6 hours. However, the last two hours happened because Drakus ran for reinforcements, and the PCs couldn't Coerce them to back off once Drakus got killed.

Liberty's Edge

about 5 hours,

My group must be very quick. It took us about 3 to 3.5 hours to complete it.

(that does NOT include the time to prep or the time it took players to get all prepped and ready to play. That's from where they actually started out right after getting the quest in the adventure).

3 or 4 hours, not quite a speed run but there was not much if any RPing and missed a few rooms in the west where the 4 gobbos were building a statue to Drakus.

Four and a half hours for my group of four players. They were prepped with characters and experienced with first edition Pathfinder, but we did a lot of roleplaying and they skipped a few rooms.

Thanks all! You've alleviated my concerns.

About 4hours here with table chatter and restroom break. But every one came with a character. Know the death and rules... as a gm you should know the DC for each monster. Also I found refreshing what forceful and sweep and things like that mean.

5 for us. They skipped several rooms, got a few lucky rolls, never went back to recharge. Drakus burned up a few hero points, but they hadn't needed to use them until then. No healer in the party, just a bard using the wizard's scroll.
One is big on rules lawyering though, so that took a lot of our time.

It took us about 6-6 1/2 hours (including a half-hour-ish break for dinner), but I added some roleplaying stuff to the intro. They skipped a couple rooms and the party had to rest twice and go up to the city to find a cleric to heal them an additional time.

A chunk of that time was spent trying to figure out how the heck poison and the dying rules worked, though.

Scarab Sages

It took as around 6-7 hours, not including the Character Creation that was done before the play session.

I would also add that my players are not really heavy-roleplaying (I would love them to be more...) so we didn't lost a lot of time because of it.

There was a lot of time where we were just "wait, what is the rule again ?" and they waste 5 minutes to find the answer. I guess it is a major reason as why it took us this long.
