So, I'm considering adding a level of Sorcerer or Bard to my Gunslinger Cavalryman... so here's the big question - and it's a stupid one.
A musket or pistol weigh less than 5 lbs. If my mage hand carries it - does that allow me to count it as the "second hand" for a two-handed musket OR can mage hand pull the trigger on a pistol?

Mage Hand requires concentration so you'll find it quite difficult to fire a weapon, reload, or whatever if you are concentrating on the mage hand holding the other gun.
Also, the text of the spell only gives you three options for what to do with the "handed" object. You can lift it, move it, or propel the object up to 15 ft. That is fairly specific so no, you cannot pull the trigger with mage hand.

Mage Hand does exactly what it says, and no more.
Mage Hand
School transmutation; Level bard 0, sorcerer/wizard 0
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one nonmagical, unattended object weighing up to 5 lbs.
Duration concentration
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance noYou point your finger at an object and can lift it and move it at will from a distance. As a move action, you can propel the object as far as 15 feet in any direction, though the spell ends if the distance between you and the object ever exceeds the spell's range.
It allows you to pick up and move an object; it does not allow you to manipulate the object in any other way. What's more, it requires a hand free to cast, and only continues to work so long as you maintain concentration, which requires a standard action each round to do. The moment you no longer actively concentrate on it, it no longer "carries" anything.
I don't know what kind of firearm shenanigans you're trying to cook up, but this spell isn't going to help.
