Back in the days of 3.0 D&D they released a Diablo 2 adventure following the second computer game called Diablo 2: To hell and back with a companion player guide called Diablo 2: Diablerie and I had so much fun GMing this game by first running the adventure(it goes up to act 4) then expanding beyond it to Act 5 and beyond til the PCs stood victorious over the ancient spirits of Hell as demigods.
Recently I was going through my old books and found these and remembered the nostalgic fun and thought of how much fun it would be to revisit those days, especially with my nowadays much better GMing skills.
This is strictly an interest check, not a recruitment thread, but I was wondering if anyone would like to join me in exploring and saving the world of Sanctuary first by playing the adventure path then expanding into a full out war between the PCs and Hell with high level adventures.
I doubt many have the old Diablo 2: Diablerie but we could just use Pathfinder rules for PCs if necessary.
Anyone interested in facing the Prime Evils and saving the world from the forces of Hell once more?
If enough people do I will prepare and run the game with a proper recruitment thread.

Probably close enough to convert as you go along I would think? And PBP does lend itself to that in that you have little chance of being rushed onto the next encounter without being ready. Plus you know, we would get to play sooner that way ;)
Hmmm, yeah I could probably do things that way, though I find it's better to be over prepared than under.
Either way at least now I can work on it without fear that noone will be interested in playing.

Is this happening? Otherwise I might run an instance of it myself. It'll be hack-and-slashy as all heck, with loads of magic items.
I've decided to do a full PF conversion so it will be awhile before I am fully prepared and ready to pop my recruitment thread.
In the meantime feel free to run your own Diablo game with my enthusiastic support.

I went ahead and took you up on it, so there's a link to the recruitment thread! Yass, you're also very welcome to join if you like. I know I tend to run the kind of games I would want to play in myself, and maybe you're the same.

Thanks. =)
