Items that allow to add spells to your list from another list?

Scarab Sages

Hello everybody,
i'm trying to make a list of all the magic items that make you add spells from another spell list.
The only one i found for now is the Ring of spell knowledge
I tried to search for other threads before opening a new one, but the most recent i found was from 2014.

Thank you

Page of spell knowledge?

Pages of Spell Knowledge still requires the spell be on your own list. As far as I'm aware Ring of Spell Knowledge is the only option, though I'm not familiar with all of the niche and/or random items introduced in some of the more unusual sources. Generally speaking though, cross-list spells are pretty powerful, so it's not something that would come up often.

Unsanctioned Knowledge is sorta this, but it is a feat and Paladin-only.

Orange Prism Ioun Stone wrote:
Cracked: Wearer adds one cantrip or orison (determined when the stone is created) to his list of spells known or spells prepared. Price: 1,000 gp.

Not very game-breaking, but I'm sure it's useful for someone. No class restriction on the item is pretty neat, though.

The FAQ that killed Eldritch Heritage: Arcane blocks Cracked Orange Prisim from working for spontaneous casters, but it still functions for prepared.

A magus can use it to get something better than arcane mark to get an extra attack with, or some would-be arcane tricksters might use it to get mage hand. Besides people who just really want stabilize or create water or whatever.

Don't forget Clerics grabbing Prestidigitation.

Which FAQ was this?

The Exchange

This one kept Improved Eldritch Heritage: Arcane from letting you cast a spell unless it was already on your spell list.

It would also apply to the ioun stone unless the spell was already on your list.

I just reread that FAQ six or seven times and I still don't see what it has to do with eldritch heritage (arcane). Why would EH(A) let you cast a spell not already on your spell list even without that FAQ?

EH(A) lets you grab that bloodline power that grants extra spells known from the Wizard/Sorcerer list. Prior to this FAQ people thought that meant you added them to your base class list.

Ah, I was looking at the 1st level bloodline power. That makes sense.

Don't some staffs let you do this or am I mistaken? Like, doesn't a staff of courage let a bard cast Prayer and Remove Paralysis since Remove Fear is on the bard list?

Nope.

If you are using UMD then yes. Otherwise the spell you're using has to be on your class list.

You might be thinking of the recharging rules. You only need to be able to cast one of the staff's spells in order to recharge it.

The spell I would like for my Cracked Orange Prism is Brand. It is a curse and does damage, lasts a day per level, but has a save spell resistance. While Arcane Mark is perm, no save, no resist, but no damage.

However, an off list spell does not work with spellstrike.

You might be able to create a cantrip that becomes part of your spell list, and thus allowed for spellstrike.

If you want Brand on your magus you can add it to your class list by being a Hexcrafter.
