Oracle Mystery for a Buffer / Healer..?

Advice

So, I was wondering.. What mysteries would be good for a buffer/healer oracle? I know Life is awesome for healers, But are there any other good ones?

I like the Lunar mystery cus I can have a wolf animal companion.. But I dont know how useful it would be other then that..

Dark Archive

For healing, no mystery is better than life. None come close.

Silver Crusade

Its not a mystery, but the Pei Zin Practioner Archetype gives some interesting healing options.

But yeah, as a healer its Life all the way. I don't think any mysteries particularly help as a buffer but you've got access to the full cleric spell list, just choose appropriate spells and you'll be golden.

With the spirit guide archetype you could get ancestor (buffing) with one of the mystery/spirit and life (healing) with the other.

My personal favorite is SUCCOR

- Enhanced Cures mean that you can CLW and still be effective without wasting higher level spell slots
- Enhanced Inflictions make you an awesome Bad Touch cleric
- Perfect Aid gives you the ability to give folks up to +7 AC, awesome for a reach cleric
- Shell of Succor gives up to 10d6+Cha temporary HP that lasts for minutes per level!

Its honestly a really fun Mystery.

I am personally a fan of the Succor mystery for support and using the Spirit Guide to pick up the Life Spirit for lifelink/channel energy (and spells). You can also swap the spirit day to day, changing up your support role as needed to match existing capabilities of other player characters. Pei Zin Practioner is nice but doesn't stack with Spirit Guide. My table allows use of VMC, so I substitute Paladin for the Lay on Hands.

Scarab Sages

I'd also recommend the Succor Mystery. I'm playing a Halfling Spirit Guide Oracle with Succor, Helpful Halfling, and Bodyguard. I took Perfect Aid as her first mystery. She does no damage in combat but is great at keeping her friends safe. Healing is good too.

Succor is a good one. I personally have an Oracle of Battle geared towards buffing. Weirdly enough he doesn't do damage on his own, but he greases the wheels for other people. I'll go down my list of choices:
Battlefield Clarity isn't a must-have immediately, but nice to pick up eventually. Blindness/Deafness is a thing, and shaking off an effect like paralyzed or stunned is immensely helpful.
Combat Healer is great. Fantastic for burst-healing when needed, or do a healing spell and a different spell if other things are necessary.
Resiliency is nice at higher levels. Being able to stay conscious can be helpful (or not, when there are still more enemies around you), so you can heal yourself.
Surprising Charge is fantastic if you need to get to other people. My character is only level 4 in PFS, but he's already saved two people with that. Move outside of your turn so you get closer to whoever is in need of aid, or simply move away from an advancing enemy.
War Sight is simply good. Rolling twice for initiative means you increase your chances of acting earlier in combat and using buffs when necessary.
And the extra spells. Enlarge Person is always good, regardless of level. If you don't have something to do, use it on your frontliner. Fog Cloud isn't something I'd choose on my own, but getting it for free is pretty nice. Good for blocking line of sight. Wall of Fire is always a nice emergency button.

It's a bit of a shame most of these are only once a day, but Abundant Revelations is a good feat and I don't really know what other feats to pick anyway.

Grand Lodge

A spirit guide life oracle has two channel pools that are based on oracle level. Pharasma's channel feat allows allies to roll twice and take the higher result in most d20 rolls whenever you channel, including saves. Pick up quick channel and fated channel- move action channel, standard action cast a buff spell.
My oracle of life puts Barbed Chains spell to good use. With a really high charisma you should have a pretty decent shot at tripping foes and you only expend a 1st level spell.

Spirit Guide in general is a great build for support .

So to go more indepth on Succor since a few other people have jumped on the Bandwagon. Its perfect for a support priest since you can also be a reach based character as well.

You take a Longspear as your weapon, that gives you 10ft range. A cestus in the off hand lets you punch folks who get too close (or you can just slap them with an Inflict spell since they scale with your level). Within that 10ft range, you can use perfect aid to assist people for absurd amounts of AC from body guard. Combat Reflexes provides you with AoOs as well as Body Guard usages, so you can take "attacks" during your opponents turns and use your own turns for casting spells.

Not only can you cast spells during your turn, but you can use other abilities as well such as Shell of Succor.
