Will some of the Legacy Races be incorporated into the 'always available' (such as the PF1 Core races in the back of the Core book) after the release of the new Guide?
What methodology should we use to petition for a race to be included in 'always available' in subsequent seasons?
Will the Manifold Host be added to the Guide?

Supposedly yes. At the PaizoCon Organized Play panel, it was announced that the Legacy Races would be added as 'always available.'

We were also told that existing classic race PCs will receive a bonus. We've all assumed this would be a +2 to an ability score 14 or less, as if the original race boon's second condition is applied.
However specifics weren't laid out and there's certainly many cases to be considered, eg if the PC already has a +2 ability score from a second copy of the same boon.

Originally it was announced for end of October to early November, but Thurston is a busy guy and may need to take a break from it to handle he backlog of things piling up.
The new RSP boon, Additional Resources updates (for Aeon Throne, Signal of Screams, and Alien Archive 2), chronicle sheets for Signal of Screams (releasing to subscribers in 3-5 weeks), and announcement for December's scenarios are still pending.

-Legacy Races will be always available. I'm looking at how we want to handle the stat bonus for those with existing boons, and that might come out as a clarification outside of the regular guide.
-I don't necessarily want to open a "petition" for anything. Our intent was always to allow legacy races, we just wanted to give the core races some time to shine. I suspect similar approaches will appear in the future.
-The Manifold Host will not be in this version of the guide. It remains to be seen how we'll handle minor factions in future versions of the guide.

I'm currently finishing up the guide revisions and want to review them with some of the team before I send them off to layout. Before I can work on other items, I'll need to switch gears to go back to scenario development. After that, I'm going to try and do my best to get some additional resources off the plate, but as always, scenarios come first. December product pages are already off and awaiting upload from the web team.

Thanks for keeping us updated, Thursty! I am looking forward to greeting all my new gnome brethren when the paperwork goes through!

I have a weird faction question, since I have been finishing up some work for the Wayfinders in order to get to Tier 3. Can you slot one faction (Wayfinders) while still having your slotless Manifold Host Recruiter boon available? Or can you only recruit for Manifold Host while wearing the Manifold Host badge? This will only matter for one more mission, as I'm devoting myself to the Manifold Host from here on out. But... I'd like to know how this works.
Hmm

Unless otherwise specifically stated on the boon, once you purchase a boon, you can use it, regardless of what faction boon you have slotted.

Since this is a Question, that has been Asked, (though I’m not sure how Frequently) it might be worth putting the answer in the Guide. Probably on page 7 with the rest of the rules surrounding what boons you can use.
Unless otherwise specifically stated on the boon, once you earn or purchase a boon you can use it regardless of what boons are in other slots. As an example: if you have purchased an Ally boon from the Dataphiles, you may slot it even if you have an Acquisitives Champion boon in your Faction slot.

Ok I have a question about missiles and ammo.
Can someone point this to me if it is already clarified but I have heard two different versions of this and I want to check with the forums and see if can be clarified if it hasn't been already!
When you fire a missile in starship combat. If you miss TL, do you still fire the rocket and it comes off your ammo, it just wildly goes into nowhere, OR does it just never fire because you never make the Target Lock?
Thanks!

While we're in rules forum questions: when you cast a touch spell like Jolting Surge, and miss the touch attack, is the spell still being "held" like in Pathfinder and can be re-attempted the next round or is it used up by the attempt?
I concur that general rules questions should best be handled elsewhere, but I can at least help this one:
"Touch Effects and Holding the Charge" on Page 271 of the Core Rules should answer your question.
(An obscure place for that information to be presented, I agree, but it is there, at least)

Yes my question was off-topic but I really appreciate a definitive answer Mike! That's been outstanding for months. And yes its placement is very odd.

I'd vote to include that in the guild guide, I've heard arguments to the contrary myself so this could certainly be more clear.
I know there's finite space in the guide and you can't possibly cover every case but I think some of these can be covered with just a few extra clarifying words, or even just recrafted language.
