Would any Season 9 scenarios (so far) be good for new players?

My family is likely to host some friends over the holidays who want to learn to play Pathfinder. My wife and I, and our kids, haven’t played any Season 9 scenarios yet and that’s what we were planning on running if we have time available to play when the other player in our regular Rise of the Runelords campaign isn’t around. Are any of the Tier 1-5 scenarios published so far appropriate to more or less complete newcomers?

The Unseen Inclusion is a great starter scenario. Yes, they won't get the backstory behind some of the players, but it is a good primer for anyone not familiar with the Jeweled Sages.

The Shores of Heaven seems like a bad starting point, but it is actually a very doable scenario for most any character and shows a fantastic realm right at level one, without needing to slog through mucky swamps and dusty tombs. The party may again not understand the main NPCs backstory, but the discovery is just as good for a player who has never met the NPC as for one who has seen her entire arc. (Watching my VA recoil at the sight and then come around to her side was excellent.)

If they're new to the genre, I'd suggest something more akin to 5-08 The Confirmation as an introduction to Pathfinder. There is only a bit of introduction to some lore that you don't need to fully understand to 'get' whats going on.

If a raucous time is what you're gearing for, then it's hard to go wrong with We Be Goblins.

Have not played Unseen Inclusion yet but have to concur with Steven about The Shores of Heaven.

It's somewhat somber, it's obvious there's a lot of important stuff at stake, and how many times can you

Spoiler:
say you went to Heaven on your first mission as a Pathfinder agent?
.

Do not recommend The Cost of Enlightenment. It is a bit too involved for such an event.

We do not speak of the cost of enlightenment.

Thank you for the advice, everyone! We may end up running several of the Season 9 scenarios just with our family (all relatively experienced players), and The Frostfur Captives with the newbies, but I will definitely take a look at The Shores of Heaven before we decide.

My PC had died in the previous scenario, so she died and went to heaven, literally.

I recently ran Shores of Heaven and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to prepare.

It's a bit railroady but it's also short enough that you can waste some time on people getting off the train to have a coffee in scenic locations. Make sure people really get to revel in being in an amazing place.
