I will have a supplemental gear post made sometime tomorrow, and will continue working on my "Campaign Info Master Document" as well. I have gotten the ball rolling on our 'Intro Crawler Text' ('cause it wouldn't be Star Wars without some of that to kick things off, now would it?). Weaving our sundry stories together is coming along nicely, and our players can expect incoming PMs to help set the stage for characters' immediate concerns and objectives over the next few days.
I still haven't heard from Sapiens or Avacyn restored with character statblocks.
I do need to get a few of you some equipment stats and proficiency details -- those are on the way.
SPECIAL NOTE: I am going to do my utmost to get this going and keep it going. That said, my current employment may seriously hamper the frequency of my posting: 16-hour days chew up a great deal of my processor time, and I have a strong likelihood of working 7 days each week after the start of the year. Once I get the Gameplay and Discussion threads opened, I will *at least* try to post once each day, but those posts will likely be split between those two threads as my circumstances allow. If I can maintain my target pace, I can see this game taking us to level 13 easily, and could go for as long as three years. I hope each and every one of you are on-board for that; life *does* happen, though, and we'll field this as best we can.
May the Force be with you!!

*howdy folks*
I'm back from an extended absence, I'm excited to get this campaign rolling. Thank you Syrus for the feedback and attention to my character. You've certainly helped streamline this process. I got your info in the works and will send it post haste. Just need to finalize a few last minute gear items and I'll be set. Thank you all for your patience! We're so close to game day!

I'll be extending the deadline for statblock submissions till 6 January, and we'll push our launch date back to 8 January.
I've been double-checking the submissions that have been made, and I simply want to remind everyone:
I'm looking for fully finished alias profiles, too, folks.
I may not have made that as clear as I thought I had in my earlier post, so, if you haven't gotten it done, seize the opportunity to finish that up!
Also, double-check the consistency of your alias names! You've got an edit due on that, Yoricks!!
I'll be setting up the Gameplay and Discussion threads soon, and will link them here once they're ready for action. If you stumble upon them sooner than that, leave them alone for now.

Fill out this easy BB Code Profile Template and it'll look better. ^^
Thnx !

Yay! Posts!!!
Quick question, gang:
I'm trying to drum up a good name for the alias under which I will post most of the in-game moments. My current placeholder is 'The Will of the Force'; while it's true to the mythos in many ways, and appropriate to the scope of our game, it just feels too blasted pretentious. Suggestions, anyone?
For clarity: the Holonet News Network alias will serve the purpose of "galaxy at large" information (customarily accessed simultaneously with updating astrogational data via hyperspace beacon), but I want to use an alias that tells you, the players, "This is right now."

If we're going with Vader quotes:
#1 -- "General, prepare your troops for surface attack."
#2 -- " . . . then you will meet your destiny!"
#3 -- "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
#4 -- "What is thy bidding, my Master?"
#5 -- "I find your lack of faith . . . disturbing."
#6 -- "The Emperor is not as forgiving as I am."

@rhea, I dig all the choices. Imo--it seems to me to be, that your sapian is somewhat flamboyant in nature. So 'very bling', and 'bling' are thematic. Also, given some of your choices in character design(mechanical), I think it's not an incredible leap to say all 3 would serve as fine character renderings. From outlandishly flamboyant to mild, whatever totes your float! The second one reminds me of kikyō.

Bling Style (Combat, Style)
Prerequisites: Equipment Trick(clothing)
Benefit: As a move action that doesn't provoke attacks of opportunity, you can twirl in place and shine light in the eyes of your opponents, dazzling them for 1d4 rounds (1 round on a successful Will save with a DC equal to 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Dex modifier).
If in an area of bright light, the opponent is instead blinded for 1 round, then dazzled for 1d4 rounds, or dazzled for 1d4 rounds on a successful Will save.
You can't use this feat in total darkness.
That's to say, I dig the shiny one.

Update:
I *think* I'm going to have a light day tomorrow, and I should be able to set the stage at a reasonable hour. Today was *just* busy enough that I couldn't get everything put together as I wanted it, so I'm pushing it back a little bit. One of our players has indicated that it may be Wednesday before he can be active in gameplay, but I can spin things a bit to ensure it doesn't delay us.
I want to say that I am very pleased with how communicative everyone has been, and the effort that each of you have put forward in building characters with solid stories and goals -- all of those things make my labor of love easier *and* more rewarding.
Regarding the ongoing issues with equipment and credit values: there are still a handful of loose threads out there, and they are solely my responsibility -- I will address them as we proceed. Considering our pacing, I should be able to square them away before it could become an issue. (Though, of course, the old adage comes into play: "No GM's plan survives an encounter with the PCs." -- Too true!)
I encourage each of you to pay attention to detail in your reading and your typing/formatting, going forward -- since we're going to have all of this in writing, I expect us to have 'tight gameplay'. Synchronicitically and Avacynrestored can tell you that I can be a jerk about language and wording -- they've sat at my sundry gaming tables for years. It isn't about being a heavy-handed GM, 'cause I'm not (at least, *I* don't think so), but because specific, detailed storytelling is BETTER than vague ambiguity. I welcome brainstorms, innovations, and questions -- PM me at any time!
And that leads me to another recommendation -- a strong one. Assume very little about *anything*, if ever. This goes hand-in-hand with the power of the Discussion thread and the PM. Thou shalt make use of those resources. If you see an opportunity for something cool or desirable (or their opposites), communicate about it -- and earlier is better. The day before *that* is best.
Folks, the moment we've been looking toward for nearly **three months** is almost upon us!!
I am quite excited.
You'll see some links in 24 hours or so. Maybe less.

Well, Rednal, I can only say this: *I* don't really have an opinion on the matter. It's your character, and I'm more hooked on storyline possibilities than I am specific appearance. :) Hapan women *always* like making fashion statements; I might personally view a skirt-wearing Intelligence operative as an irregularity, but there are all manner of oddments in the SWEU. Go with what you like, chief!

Rhea Varn, the Hapan Sage |

There are all kinds of intelligence operatives. ^^ Sure, you have your scruffy-looking nerf herder smugglers... but there's also sweet-talking a senator's aide at a party, making deals in a ritzy casino, or just using your glamour and style to distract people from the fact that you can pound them bare-handed, and the fact that they searched you for weapons when you came in really means nothing. XD
I try to take a holistic view of settings, and my assumption is that Hapes - like all other galactic powers, really - probably has operatives on many different levels. Some go to the grimy underworld, some go to verdant or oceanic worlds, some go between space stations... and some mingle with the wealthy and influential of the galaxy.
A big part of Rhea's glam (aside from, y'know, just being Hapan and wanting to be pretty) is to convince people that she moves in influential circles, and working with her is therefore likely to be rewarding. Doubly so when most of what she asks for is really rather mild. Sure, that old communication device had great security, but people moved on to something with better bandwidth. It's not gonna hurt us any if the nice lady takes it home as a souvenir, right? Who cares if it has the potential to provide an added layer of information security for short-distance communication during spy raids? 8D And those moisture vaporators over there are particularly resistant to damage caused by harder minerals... who cares if she takes a sample of the material back for analysis and use with terraforming the harsher worlds?
It's that sort of idea. XD Veeeeery flexible mission. If there's any conceivable use for tech, she's interested in it - it's up to her superiors to figure out what's worth putting the research teams on.
Also, going with pic #3.
