In a nutshell, LWD is releasing Starfinder on a new platform, Hero Lab Online; the beta should be going live next week. At this time, there are no plans announced to release on the current HL platform.

Well, if LWD produces Hero Lab Online at the same rate they're going at for Realm Works, expect it to be released in 2021 at the earliest.

I am so disappointed that LWD is going the direction they are with HeroLab.

Having HLO be online only is worthless to those of us who refuse to purchase high end devices and hefty cellular contracts.

Then to charge a monthly fee on top of the price of the program and data packages, which if you don't pay they cut off your access to all the data packages you have paid for...no thank you.

HeroLab is only a quality-of-life supplement, its not a core requirement to play any of the games they support.

If the monthly cost is low, I won't mind. If they get greedy I just laugh at them and stop using it.

From another thread it sounds like it has started already. They DID say that they'd add people gradually.

Unfortunately, I too am in the group that has not yet been added :-(

if it helps, the newest PCGen beta (6.07.04?) has starfinder as a source.

I have used this to build my first character. Once I got used to it, I am happy with PCGen

i am liking herolabs starfinder so far a lot
a few minor issues like lag occasionally but it works pretty good and looks pretty
