So I've played pathfinder for a little over a year now and I like to look for interesting character Ideas/Builds for me to play in future games. One of these ideas happened to be that of a mad scientist that is obsessed with his creation of life.
To keep it short the concept I looked into was that of a Homunculus. With the idea of the Homunculus being similar to that of Homunculus's from full-metal Alchemist. You know the ones that are basically actual people but still serve their master unquestioningly. So again to keep it short this character would be something like a spellcaster/alchemist that has created a sentient construct/living being of some kind that serves him. He would care for it as if it were his own child and his goal would be to make it as powerful as possible, in destruction and knowledge.
I realized just a little bit ago that a Homunculus in pathfinder is much different from that of Full-Metal Alchemist. In pathfinder they are basically mindless little servants that deliver mail and grab stuff for you. However I want this creation to be similar to that of another player, not necessarily in power but as far as "RP" goes he could talk to other players and influence them (I know that's my part as the Player). But he would need the stats to do so. He would also need some considerable fighting abilities, such as spellcasting or even just a sword and board fighter or archer but something so he can actually do things.
The Homunculus would start out as just a useless little guy similar to how they are portrayed in the game but over time (and levels) my actual Character would improve his design and create what he calls life. Not fully up to the actual player charaters power of course, but could certainly have some sway of his own in the real world.
Yes, I know I can upgrade a Homunculus but not without an outrageous amount of gold. And even then, its still not similar to what I envision.
So my question or what I need help with is this: Is their a class that is similar to this character concept, or is pathfinder not even close to this idea? Please let me know if you have the time.
P.S. this is my first forum post and my first time using the interface so my apologies if I struggle at responding or moderating.
