I am asking if theres somewhere in the books pathfinder and starfinder(the main focus) that says PCs are not allowed to share equipment. "Because its not party lootand there for your cheating". Anyway my dm told us to build two PCs each I made a soldier and a technomancer and feated them out so they could use the stuff they were kitted out with. Game started and the technomancer tosses his rifle to the soldier knowing she could put it to better use and would be able to protect herself if her own weapon ran out of ammo. And he stayed with the ship. she went out killed stuff and never used the rifle. Is that cheating?
Is there a rule anywhere that says equipment is singular?

The technomancer bought a rifle that he spent a feet on so he could use it but since he wasn't going in out into battle he handed it to his partner so she could protect yourself if she ran out of ammo. She had spare cash and had baught a clip for that rifle.
It isn't cheating per se.
Though... I'd have to see more of the setup here. For example, why didn't his partner have a weapon of her own?
Did you do something weird by kitting her out with the best armor possible, but didn't have enough left for a rifle so you included a rifle obviously intended for her (since you pointed out she bought a clip for a rifle she didn't own) to use?
If that is the case... Then I can understand the GM getting a little miffed.

she had bought her own weapon/ammo and armor and had enough spare cash to buy him a clip for his new gun. Just so happens that she went on the life risking mission first and he wanted her to survive if her gun ran out of its ammo.
