Non-Logitech and non-Microsoft mouse recommendations

Technology

My current mouse, a Logitech Anywhere MX, has a left-button microswitch that is failing. This is a known issue with at least several models of Logitech mice. I used to exclusively use Microsoft wireless mice, but their universal receiver is incompatible with this notebook... believe me, I've tried everything, and I used to do tech support & driver/software qc.

So, I'm going to need a new mouse soon. Wireless is preferred, but not a requirement. It must connect via USB, directly or via wireless dongle; no Bluetooth. It must have tracking technology for use on non-optimal surfaces at least as good as Bluetrack (Microsoft) or Darkfield (Logitech).

Any suggestions/recommendations?

Razer. I love their mouses and keyboards. Kinda pricey though.

Edit: just checked and the wireless ones use Bluetooth, sorry.

{googles Razer mice} Holy crap. They're way out of my budget.

My MX Mouse is being a bigger pain in the butt today. I remapped the left click function onto the thumb buttons, but I'm having a difficult time trying to retrain my brain to the task. Also, it gave me thumb cramps. So I ordered a corded Microsoft 4500 USB mouse (w/Bluetrack). $14.59 including s&h and should get here Wednesday next week.

Yay!
