Can someone help me understand this?
quoted: "If the power requires an enemy to attempt a skill check, the DC is equal to 10 + 1-1/2 × your mystic level + your Wisdom modifier."
Page 83, Connection.
this seems to me to read that as a mystic gains levels, it's easier for enemies to beat the connection power.
Example: assuming 18 Wisdom:
Level 2 Mystic DC = 10 + 1 - 1/2 * 2 + 4 = 14.
Level 10 Mystic DC = 10 + 1 - 1/2 * 10 + 4 = 10.
What am I missing about this?

Why would they express fractions as '1-1/2'? That's horribly non-standard, even if you're going to do the crazy thing and use fractions in the first place (which from a publishing standpoint is weird, as 1.5 takes up less ink, and doesn't tempt people to mess around with superscript.)
That's how they've always expressed "One and a half" multiplications in their books.

Having always done it wrong is no excuse for continuing to do it wrong. I can't recall seeing anything multiplied by 1.5 in any of the pathfinder books I own or have read, but hey - I'm sure it's happened. It would have confused me there too.

It's in the Power Attack feat.
Benefit: You can choose to take a –1 penalty on all melee attack rolls and combat maneuver checks to gain a +2 bonus on all melee damage rolls. This bonus to damage is increased by half (+50%) if you are making an attack with a two-handed weapon, a one handed weapon using two hands, or a primary natural weapon that adds 1-1/2 times your Strength modifier on damage rolls.

IIRC it's also in the rules for adding STR to two-handed weapon damage, and in the Dragon Style feat branch.
