I've been playing Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and have been using this plan:
1.)Equip throwing knives
2.)Get on top of a roof
3.)Kill rooftop enemies
4.)Throw knives at enemies on the ground (it's hilarious when I get someone in a crowd because NO ONE EVER LOOKS UP)
I've had so much fun with this tactic that I want to make a build around it.

One thing to recall is that the rules of the simulations are going to be different, things that are effective in one system might not be in another. As an example, it isn't much, if any, more difficult for a character in Pathfinder to perceive you when you are on a roof.
I would say though that an unchained rogue would be the simplest method to make a character that can effectively use this tactic. Personally I wouldn't heavily invest in throwing, just use it as an opening sneak attack and then move into melee.

I'm interested in this less for the throwing part and more for the attacking from above aspect. Does anyone have a list of feats/benefits from attacking from a higher position? I know of Death From Above but can't think of much else off the top of my head.
