need clarification on chained summoner

Hey guys and girls I new to society play and after not finding what I need on the forums or faq I thought I would ask the community.
Problem: I played three scenarios that ended August 2014 so I have a character that hasn't played my first level 2 game. I wish to change my character to a chained summoner. So my problem lies in with two things that I remember but can't find.

1. you can change your character anyway you want as long as its before level 2.
2. chained summoners are illegal, but are grandfathered in if your level 2.

So thus lies my question, Can I convert my character to a chained summoner?

You cant. For grandfathering, you character would have actually needed to have been a summoner. That is why they needed to be lvl 2: You cant change your character anymore by then.

If there wasn't the Level 2+ restriction there would have been a flood of Chained Summoners everywhere.

It was done intentionally. Same with Eldritch Knights and a host of other errata'd classes/races.

Oh ok so sence I haven't played my first game as a level 2 I'm not a level 2.

You need to have played a game as a Level 2.

You're lvl 2 but you're not locked in untill the first time you play.

In my mind, I thought you wrote:

As a fan of the self inserted flavor of the classic summoner, I will say there are beginning to be some archetypes that allow you some more choices to get what you are looking for as far as being the type of character you want.

Looking forward to the probable authorization of the twined Summoner archetype myself, and had wanted nothing to do with the unchained version of the class.
