Curse of the Crimson Throne

Hi All

Does anyone have any films they envision for certain adventures / set pieces within Curse of the Crimson Throne?

For example I have heard mentioned that Adventure 3 is inspired by Escape from New York? I am not sure how accurate this is.

Also the underlying story of Eodred, Ileosa and Venster seems inspired by Game of Thrones (first book / series)

Does anyone know of any others?

Thanks

There was another thread on this a few pages back.

I believe the list was as follows.

Zoro movies
Dune
A Man Called Horse

The title for the AP was inspired by the title of "Curse of the Golden Flower." And of course there's the Escape from New York inspiration.

That's about it. The whole plot of the AP was concieved before I'd read Game of Thrones.

Zorro, Dune, and A Man Called Horse (haven't even seen that last one) had no real or direct inspiration on the plot, although incidentally the idea of a big worm in the desert and a swashbuckler dressed in black have thematic ties there... those just aren't intentional callbacks to movies.

"Snow White" and "Snow White and the Huntsman".

Charlize Theron as Ravenna is my model for Ileosa.

Yeah sorry, I misread the original post and thought it was asking for movies which thematically worked. Probably shouldn't post when tired!

The list I gave was from a thread where people were requesting movies to watch for inspiration on themes for the campaign rather than actual movies plots were based on.

Thanks for replying James. My apologies, I clearly very badly worded my original post.

I was looking for films to get the right vibe or theme not what the adventure was based on.

(My own wittering about Game of Thrones probably confused matters. Of course since that novel is strongly influenced by real history and many other fantasy stories any story points that seem similar should not be a surprise. Perhaps my brain just made a connection between Crimson and Iron Throne and couldn't get past it.)

So yes I meant are there any films that depict the sort of feel of the city/setting. In the way The Wickerman (amongst other things) help for Feast of Ravenmoor etc.

Turelus, as I have just noted above my post was poorly worded. What you answer was actually the sort of thing I was looking for.

Where does A Man Called Horse fit it? I haven't got all the way through the AP yet (since it will be a while since I expect to get to the second half with a group if at all)

I believe it was because of the Shoanti themes similar to Native Americans. Edit - Sorry I forgot to say this is due to CH4 of you book which has a large showing of the Shoanti.

The thread I took my list from is here: http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2tyxc?Curse-of-the-Crimson-Throne-Viewing-List

I don't want to take the credit for others answers there.
