Maybe this is a Starfinder plug? A "simulate the Gap for immersion" thing?

My guess is that the two forums accidentally got Privated (like RPG Superstar judges' forums, where they're not publicly visible) or Stifled like an offending post. Either way, the posts aren't deleted; they're just not visible to the general public.
Honestly, I'd be tremendously surprised if anything is actually "gone" and needing to be restored as opposed to just categorized incorrectly.

If you have a recruitment thread, talk to your party reassuringly there. You can also compose gameplay and combat posts in advance in Google docs so that you can be ready when the boards go live again. Hopefully though, they'll get this sorted quickly.

I've heard that this 'fresh air' is good for you, I say why take the risk...
Its a unique issue, I'm glad I'm not the only one having it, I was in a panic trying to update and move my groups forward this morning.
Hopefully we get a word from a Paizo employee soon on an update.

A young man sets the divining table, laying out silk table cloths and polishing the crystal ball. He sits, and begins to shuffle his Deck of Harrow. As he does, he seems to age, his features and demeanor shifting to that of an old man.
"Let us see what the cards reveal, shall we?" he says, laying three cards face down on the table.

"First the past." he flips the left-most card, revealing a juggling bear on a unicycle. "The Bear represents pure strength that cannot be truly tamed or trained, much like these forums." He flips the center card of the spread, "The Fiend! The present is ruled by the devil that consumes the masses of the innocent. This bodes ill, but we must look to the future." Finally, he reveals the card on the right. On its face is the image of a sphinx carrying a traveler. "Take heart. The Sphinx is a noble guide and source of salvation from an environment that would be impossible to survive alone."
The old man sweeps the cards back into the deck and begins to shuffle. His features return to those of a young man, who smiles as he packs the fortune-telling table. He smiles as he turns to leave,
"I hope you found what you were looking for."

I am a Jon of infinite sadness.
I'm honestly just surprised there hasn't been a developer post along the lines of "Don't worry, we're working on it." But yeah, same issue, obviously. It's site-wide and all that.
Starting to feel awful glad I'm using an alias as a journal for one of the games I'm in.

It's been a few years since I've updated this but my Venture Captain Simulator might help you get your fix in while you wait for things to get better.
My play-by-post is nuked as well, I was just about to start my own thread when I noticed this one. Anyone have any idea as to what the issue is from? because the other thread-types seem to be working just fine.

I like to think they haven't posted because they're all at a party and they just don't know yet.
Until someone picks up their cell phone, and checks the boards, 'just for a moment, see if anything's up'...

For what it's worth, it appears that if you looked at a thread while things were not showing up, it still counts as you having looked at it - so your new post notifications might not be correct at the moment.
