Got asked this by a blogging friend last week. The post got picked up by High Level Games. Give it a read: http://www.highlevelgames.ca/blog/3-ways-to-deal-with-a-troublesome-player

What other ways do you guys handle really troublesome players? Not just little issues, but really problematic, often leads to violent argument-type players.

I'm more likely to walk then to try and deal with somebody id label "troublesome" My time is valuable and id rather spend it constructively in game. I try to head this thing off before its an issue by screening my players with one shots and PFS.

I will agree sometimes your best friend makes the worst gamer. Sometimes you gotta say no to good candidates.

Just sitting down and talking with them like adults seems to do it. Find out why they are acting up. Explain that the idea of a Game is to have Fun, and YOU are not having Fun.

This advice was meant for after you've tried to talk things out calmly. Though your points are both reflected within the post.

I would like to thank you for the above comments. I like to try to keep games fun and wish that these things didn't happen.
