New Organized Play Campaign coming to Pathfinder...

Product Discussion

A few years ago we developed NeoExodus Legacies as an organized play / living campaign for the Pathfinder rules set. We did it for a small short time but I really never dedicated us to it as a company because I really just didn't understand it well enough.

Well now that is all changed.

After a few years of research and talking to a lot of people involved in the organized play community I think I may have come up with something that is not only possible, but incredibly reasonable for Pathfinder RPG and organized play fans. So my plan is to update our NeoExodus Legacies (2.0) organized play rules with a few changes from the original.

First and foremost what we don't want to be is a copy of what Pathfinder Society is. What we do want to do is try to tell stories that are different and unique to us and our campaign world of NeoExodus. And with that we would like to also find a way to include other third-party Publishers into working with us and developing not just NeoExodus Legacies but their own organized play campaigns.

We also know that one of the things that has made other living campaign so successful in the past is the ability for the players to actually affect the outcome of the storyline. And that is something that we are also going to be integrating into our NeoExodus Legacies campaign. Your actions in the game should matter and affect the world you play in.

So with all this going on what's our next step? Well first we are currently working on four introduction adventurers that we're going to send out to small and mid sized gaming conventions to let people play examine the world of the NeoExodus. From there, we will be following up those adventures with a year-long epic story line worth of adventures.

While many things are still in the design phase we are hoping to start revealing and showing some of the ideas and concepts we are looking to develop in the very near future. Also with that we will be recruiting writers and game designers to work on the NeoExodus Legacies for us. We want all kinds of people with all kinds of experience two approaches. We want to hear what everyone has to say about organized play and living campaigns. Best of all we want to know what has been done right and what has been done absolutely wrong.

So that is where we are, if you're interested please follow us on Louis Porter Jr. Design on Facebook and on Paizo message boards where we will be discussing this further. As always thank you for your interest and your support.

That sounds really cool and best of luck to you.

Now, see, I was all set to go with Starfinder Society as my first serious foray into organized play, and you had to come along and announce this.

I don't think I'll be able to do both, so I guess I have a decision to make.

Thanks. We hope we can have an updated Campaign Guide by at the latest June 2017.

You don't have to make a decision just yet. We are hoping to start off small with 4 specifically created into adventures and updates of our older NeoExodus Legacies adventures. So don't work you never have to make a choice in what you are looking to play and have fun with.
