Happy early Thanksgiving! And that's 'early' as in wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving before Monday, not some sort of American jab at Canada celebrating Thanksgiving a month early. ;) As someone who embarrassingly was not aware that Canada celebrated Thanksgiving, may I further show my ignorance by asking how much, if at all, the customs differ?
And sorry to hear about your internet, Albus. Hope you'll be able to rejoin us soon.

They're good, thanks for asking! The city is still working to clear the branches and debris from the sidewalks, and the community we live in still has a few things that need to be set back to rights, but otherwise we're all back to enjoying that good ol' sunny 80° Autumn weather.
I can't wait until Winter rolls around; the temperatures might drop all the way to 78°!
GM Stargin
Customs are pretty much the same here. No Pilgrim story though. The weather is wacky nowadays so who knows what the winter season will be like. Usually by March 0 celsius (32 F I think?) feels like a warm t shirt day.
Glad to know everyone's okay. Work has gotten nuts lately so might have to resort to a post every two days or so.

Yes ,a bit, yesterday was busy. Also it did get a bit of go to room, kill everybody, go to next room, kill everybody. Or as Laro put it, murder hoboing. That's the big problem with dungeons, it can turn into a PnP version of video gaming. Albus started trying diplomacy but wasn't good at it, and with disappointing results for him, gave up trying. Violence as the best option worked so we went with it. Still a good job overall, though I suspect there is a bit more to go.
Javell
Wow, good game!
As is evident, I struggled a bit more towards the end to keep up, but for most of the game, I really enjoyed it. I'll try to get a closing post up at some point, but I can't really think of much else to do within the bounds of the adventure. Thanks for the experience!
GM Stargin
There's more.. but I looked over the synopsis of the following modules and I honestly don't like them.
Heck I was kind of surprised by this one at how long the second level of the dungeon was! There's only so much that can be done with room after room of kobolds. I did try to give the kobolds as much different personality as I could.
And I don't think you guys were murder hobos at all. Plenty of kobolds lived after all.
Laro Farfeet
There are three more. Two direct squeals and one other. I ran the next one and enjoyed it. We didn't get to the one after that though I was prepared for it. We switched to Wrath of the Righteous. I wasn't sure I was going to run the last one. It's a bit different from the others.

Thanks for a great campaign, hope you got the experience you were looking for GM Stargin. I see you have a couple of other games going now, good luck in those. If you have an open recruitment again sometime, I'd love to know about it. Fair weather and good fortune to all, perhaps we'll meet again someday (which would be good fortune indeed).
GM Stargin
So before I close off the thread. Can you let me know how the game went overall? How did the combats feel? Were the characterization of the kids and the kobold alright? Did the game world feel believable? Favorite part of the game? Least favorite part of the game? Who was your favorite kobold?
How do you feel about a more sandbox style homebrew continuation?
Laro Farfeet
I think the game went great overall. The combats seemed to flow well and you played the kids and kobolds superbly. I thought overall it was very immersive.
I'd love a continuation. We have a recurring villain in the werewolf after all.
Virdel Harg
I really enjoy your style and the effort you put into characterization. TotM (or even partly so) diverges from what I'm used to in PFS games, but I actually prefer combat that way as long as it's clear what is happening.
I'd be up for a continuation as well if you have something in mind already. No need to force it though as I feel like we came to a good conclusion.
Javell
I enjoy the game- while I didn't really intend for Javell to be a long-running character, I'm not opposed to continuing. I did like the combat- while maps might have been nice at some points, it overall went rather smoothly and felt natural. The characterization also felt good, as well. So, if you do continue, I'd be interested in at least giving it a go.
Albus Wodeward
The game overall went very well, there were improvements since the first campaign, description of the environment was better. Combats went well with smooth flow. The kids had personality and a liveliness not common in most role-playing in my experience. The good characterization of all characters is the high points of the campaign. The worst was the end sequence of open room - kill all, over and over. This is more a dungeon problem with pre-made adventures than a GM one. If you go sandbox, I look for ways to make that more varied. Of course we as players had an influence on that all well. Favorite Kobold would be Lukko as the stubborn guard, brave for a kobold though still unwilling to trust Albus - wonder if he'll be the new king?
A sandbox would be great, if you go ahead with that (and I hope you do) then I'll post Albus' actions after returning to town.
Aelerie Mirisen
It was a great game! I think you did an excellent job of drawing an interesting story from a very dungeon-crawling, murderhobo-y module through the personalities of the NPCs. And even though he only had a small role to play, I'd have to say Mumpo was my favorite kobold.
If you have some ideas brewing, I'm definitely interested in the continuing adventures of the Heroes of the Hollow.
GM Stargin
Alright. I've got four smaller hooks in mind and then one final one. Let's say we start mid to late November maybe? Probably be a slower pace as I'm not going off a published book!
Of course you guys level up! So maybe we'll use this thread to level up and discuss things and I'll start the new thread by late November at the latest! Sounds alright?
Also, uh, was anyone tracking loot?

I think Paizo needs to feed the hamsters powering the servers.
But I also think your idea sounds good! Looking forward to continuing the adventures but fine with a later start date. Also, I haven't been tracking the loot but I can start. I do it in another one of my games and I already have a spreadsheet, so it's no problem. I'll go through the gameplay thread and tally things up shortly. In the meantime, here are my level up changes:

FCB +1 1st Level Spell to Spellbook
Base Saves +1 Fort, +1 Reflex, +4 Will
Feats Sacred Geometry (Extend Spell, Toppling Spell)

Had some free time this weekend what with getting sick and all, so here's the loot tracker. I think I got everything and assigned what's been claimed so far correctly. If there's a mistake or something you want to claim, feel free to let me know or edit it yourself. Should be editable by everyone...
We should all add 20gp & 8sp to our sheets just from the coins found. Then we can decide what we want to keep, sell, or give away.
Albus Wodeward
Great job at tracking the loot Aelerie. Albus will push for the heirs to be found for the Dwarf's armor and ax. Everything else is open for taking or selling.
How about we start after Nov 26, that gets the Thanksgiving weekend (for us Americans) over where people tend to be busy?
Don't think we should do campaign posts again here, mostly because that 1,001 post as the last post appeals to my OCD. :)
Could describe in general terms here what Albus will be doing after the grand return, if that is helpful.
Get well Aelerie!
Aelerie Mirisen
Huh... I could've sworn I posted yesterday. Anyway, it's no problem; I'm happy to put my meagre spreadsheet skills to good use. =) And thank you! I'm feeling much better, thank goodness. It's funny, even though I know cold weather making people sick is an old wives' tale, I always feel weird getting the flu when it's a balmy 85° outside.
I know what you mean, Javell. So many choices. I must have spent a few hours going back and forth on feats alone, never mind spell selection and exploits. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone chooses.
Aelerie Mirisen
Do you mean like story hooks or something else? If it's story hooks, tracking down Glintaxe's heirs might be fun, especially if it takes us to some far off Dwarven settlement. Long-term, I imagine Aelerie would take a good deal of the wealth she's gained and reinvest in the town, trying to make sure the children have more options than just working for the Lumber Consortium. And if they have to bump heads with Kreed to do it...
Just spitballing. Of course if you had something else in mind when you asked that, feel free to disregard. =)
Aelerie Mirisen
A far off Dwarven settlement a few hours walk from the Hollow.
Well, Jeva's still likely prowling the Vale, trying to lure unsuspecting loggers to their deaths or something, but I'm guessing you already thought of that. =)
Albus mentioned early in the gameplay thread about finding the source of the stirges and driving them out for good. I think that'd be neat. Especially if we end up running into some giant advanced augmented stirge queen out in the forest.
If you wanted to add a dash of horror into the game, there's also the allegedly haunted Abandoned Cutyard where people have reportedly gone missing. Spooky.
Albus Wodeward
Leveled up Albus. Not too much changed.
Took Point-Blank/Precise Shot feat. Could be useful and it's simple.
Added K (Religion) at +2, Albus is getting more serious about his faith.
Better skills Perception is at +14!
Favored enemy bonus is +4 vs humans and +2 vs Humanoid (Reptilian).
Haven't taken any but cash from the recent loot.
Albus is a bit afraid of the hungry ax, he's willing to sell it or give it to someone else. Glinty's stuff should go to his heirs(in Albus's opinion.)
The rope would be nice though he could just buy his own. He'd like the CLW potion but Laro and Aelerie have at least as good a claim on it.
The hammer should be sold so everyone gets a fair reward for their heroism.
Gotta run but if there is anything else you need let me know.
