SO I stumbled upon a fan-made map of all of Galorian (Potential geography spoilers: http://darthsunshine42.deviantart.com/art/Fan-made-Golarion-map-337812221 ) and there's so many places that I asked my DM about and he outright didn't know. While I know about Tian'Xia, the Inner Sea Regions, and other places covered by books such as Distant Shores, I haven't much info at all about New Azlant or Sarusan.
I know Sarusan is an Australia expy with literally no current information on it, but there's a specificly marked location, the Nightmare Sepulchure. Furthermore New Azlant has some specific locations.
Moving all the way North, what about the Alginak Tribes, Frosthead Islands, The High Ice, Alabastrine Peaks, and Dead Man's Dome?
My questions are as follows:
1. Are these locations visited in modules?
2. If not, is there significant information about them? If so, what modules visit them and is the visitation significant?
3. If there is no significant information, what have you done with them in your games as DMs?

None of them are mentioned by Pathfinder Wiki, that I can find. My guess is whoever made the map made up those locations as well, perhaps for his own home campaigns.
EDIT: Wait, nope, at least some of it is canon. The Alabastrine Peaks and the High Ice are mentioned in Pathfinder #51, The Hungry Storm. That's part of the Jade Regent AP. Dead Man's Dome is the site of an encounter in the same module.

Almost all of the locations on the map outside of Tian Xia and the Inner Sea Region (with the exception of the Sun Temple Colony and some locations in the Crown of the World) are made up by the person who made this fan map.
(This map was also made prior to the release of Distant Shores, so it doesn't even have those locations on it.)
It's still a fun map and a GM could build out some neat locations out of those map tags, but it's hardly accurate.

Link about the first part here's what's known about Sarusan. Another thread (located here ) mentions that places that don't have lore might have been sketched or featured on maps in certain modules.
EDIT: However with a Dev here to confirm the map is inaccurate aside from Sarusan and what has been found cannon here from modules the rest is negligable til proven canon.

Oh? Thank you so much for clarifying that.

I just searched in my adventure modules folder (I have all of them) - no mention of any of them (though many mentions of both azlanti ruins and dead men)

Sure thing. If maps of the whole world are something you're interested in, check out this thread. (The more complete and better maps are towards the end of the thread, like this awesome interactive map!)
Edit: I also want to clarify that just because something isn't canon, doesn't mean it's not useful or fun. If you want to go wild with some world-building from the map you posted... do it!

Oh sweet thank you again. I mostly posted this so I could also make sure I get my location lore right. I play alongside alot of lore buffs and while I am good spinning tales with my own lore I don't want to break the suspension of disbelief regarding locations on Galorian, if I have a camapign take place on Galorian. I looked at the thread you posted. Adam, do you think the map makers would benefit cross referencing the fan map I posted at all?

Just an FYI, the Sarusan article on PathfinderWiki contains all (at least as far as I have been able to find) that is known in Paizo canon about Sarusan.

I can't speak for John Mechalas, but I know DarthSunshine42's map (which is a great fan map, and which I've loved for years as a what-if) came up in the discussion around John's map, and its placement of things turns out to be a bit off canon-wise. As Adam noted, it predates some sources that've added more clarity to where places exist—particularly how Avistan and Tian Xia are connected—and James Jacobs chimed in on John's thread with unpublished details that helped John's georeferencing efforts.
For now, at least for the interactive map I'm working on using John's data, I'm focusing on getting as close to canon as possible because I want to eventually integrate some or all of it into PathfinderWiki.
