I have recently been getting into the Golarion setting after playing for a couple years in homebrew worlds. I have picked up a few of the Campaign Setting books and really enjoy the content but I was wondering if there are any instances of older material being made obsolete by newer releases?
For example, I heard that the old Dragons Revisited isn't the most up-to-date information on the subject. If that's the case, is there a "more correct" book that contains that information? Furthermore, are there any other instances where this occurs? I would like to learn more about the setting while avoiding conflicting (or repeated) content.

Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Dragons Unleashed and to a lesse extent Pathfinder Player Companion: Dragonslayer’s Handbook have the more up to date dragon information.
Usually the more recent book is considered the more up to date information on anything in it. you can check the Wiki sourcebook page to browse by year.
Also I always suggest browsing the wiki and looking at the reference sections for pages that interest you. once you find a book that comes up often, look it its page and if you think it would make a good addition to your collection.
Dragons are the subject that has had the most changes. Between Dragons Revisited and the module about Dragonfall that isn't talked about anymore. Some of the earliest 32 page player companions were based on countries in the inner sea, that now have their own 64 page books that build off the original's information. The other big one was that the Pathfinder chronicles campaign setting was replaced by the Inner Sea World Guide. and Gods and Magic 64 page book was replaced by the 200 page Inner Sea Gods
