Adventure Path minimum players

I'm running Carrion Crown as a regular home game at the moment. I can't find in the rules, is there a minimum number of people in the home game that need to be PFS in order to count it? I have one player who's expressed interest, but I'm not sure I'll get four.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I think Three would be the minimum, to have a party of 3 and a pregen

As an adventure path, you could run it in campaign mode and do pretty much whatever you want, give the reluctant people a PFS number that never does anything (but save it in case they sign up later)

Sounds like you're running it in campaign mode. You dont need a minimum number that way. If you have one player who wants credit, once you complete a chapter, just report with you as the GM and the PFS nummer of that player.

BNW is correct - in Campaign Mode, you can pretty much do anything as long as you're playing the whole AP. If you're just running the PFS-sanctioned sections as quasi-modules, then you'd need a minimum of 3 PCs and a legal Pre-Gen (which only exist at levels 1, 4, and 7 regardless of the book levels).

Technically, for campaign mode, you don't even need to use PFS numbers, although reluctant players might thank you for it later if they do indeed join PFS after the campaign is underway/over.
