Hello, just as the title says, is this still being worked on, and if so how would I go about getting an invite for myself and my group?
Since nobody else has answered you, in a word "no". The project is indefinitely on hold. It's not officially cancelled, which means Paizo hasn't abandoned the intention, but there's no work being done on it, and none planned. (At least not that is public knowledge.)

In other words, don't build future plans predicated on this ever existing.
TBH I kind of wish Paizo would just take the WotC stance at this point and support the big two VTT's with content.
They already seem to have a good partnership with Syrinscape for sound packs for adventure paths.

I know this is likely meant as a tongue-in-cheek comment, but for those of us who game exclusively in PbP, and would love some love from Paizo, it hurts just a little.
Many of us are 'staying tuned' and have been for some time, through promise after promise with nothing to show for it. That goes for this project, and the so-called efforts to improve the message boards that we hear about from time to time. In the last few years, we got, wait for it, the strikethrough. Cant' even get an underline...
And if the VTT partnership are what was offered this time, well, OK. I don't use the platforms they aligned with (so far, but again, they're promising more in the unknown future), but I guess I'll check them out. I will add though that it's not what the OP was asking about. They wanted to know if this project was dead, and Erik's comment does nothing to answer that question unless there's more to come - again in some unknown future.
Sorry. I didn't mean to rant, and it's nothing personal against Mr. Mona, but I'm tired of seeing the carrot dangled in front of my eyes, always at the end of a stick I cannot reach.
I guess I'll just have to continue to 'stay tuned' until I find something better.

Erik's "stay tuned" was specifically addressing the post above it asking about partnerships, and he was indeed referring to the partnership announcement made in the blog a few days later.
The answer to the original poster's question is what Anquish said in the second post.
