Yes guys I was planning on starting an Occultist (Reliquarian) of Norgorber and I was wondering if we have the right to worship an evil god in PFS? I mean if the character is Neutral it should be legal right?
Furthermore how do these characters are perceive at the table? Maybe you run into a few of them? Are they jerks or team players? I mean I would like to create that character but if it's only a disappointment to the GM there is no point in doing that. And of course I'm planning to play him as a Neutral not as an evil backstaber.

There's an extremely comprehensive list of legal deities here (I linked to the most recent post with the document that contains the full list).
Perceptions of characters who worship evil deities vary greatly by area, is my guess. Some areas are more willing to accept players and characters who are into evil deities, others are less so. I've run an inquisitor of Lao Shu Po, who is like the Tian equivalent of Norgorber, for a few years now and though there were initial shows of distaste between him and the cleric of Sarenrae he ended up adventuring with a lot, they came to an uneasy understanding.
A character can be a jerk regardless of what deity they worship. The religion rarely comes into it unless someone is really adamant about shoving the evilness of their deity into everyone's face.

You can worship evil god as long as your character is not evil. There is even cleric archetype Asmodean Advocate that worships Asmodeus and it's PFS legal.
Haven't had any problem with said characters in table. Personally I think they bring roleplaying flavor to sessions. Worshipping evil god doesn't mean said characters need to be jerks or that they can't cooperate with other pathfinders.

I have an 11 level LN cleric of Asmodeus. He was part of the Cheliax faction. (I haven't played him since the switch over to Dark Archive.
He was allot of fun to play. I remember he would occasionally but heads with the Andorans over slavery. If it was debtors slavery or something legally contractually obtained, he would voice an objection because the slavers were legit business men, however if the slaves were illegally obtained...ie Kidnapped or press ganged......he would happily undo such an illegal situation.
I also remember one situation where our PCs had some thieves we had captured.
The paladin objected. My character also objected....We both wanted them turned over to the authorities. The paladin wanted to do this because it was the lawful thing to do....the cleric of Asmodeus wanted to do it because it was the lawful thing to do.
Then the player with the paladin said....yeah My character agrees with him....wait my paladin is agreeing with the cleric of asmodeus......and I replied... "see its not that hard to work together"
good times.
But playing my LN Cleric of Asmodeus, I was never a jerk to other players, faultlessly polite, and with his Negative channeling, I made sure I never damaged my comrades with that ability. He would often be the face of the party.
good times .

I have a couple of characters who worship evil gods.
Nana is a half-orc CN cleric of Lamashtu from Belkzen. But Nana is a total sweetie. She's a separatist (animal domain) who follows the "Holy Mama", a goddess of motherhood, certainly not a demon lord! Nana knows "angel words" (Abyssal, but she thinks it's what angels speak) via the unintentional linguist trait. She sees fiends as angels, and the uglier a creature appears the more beautiful it is to Nana. All creatures deserve a mother's love. She's level 8 now, and a lot of fun to play.
Tooth & Claw is a LN tengu divine verminous hunter with a giant mantis companion. He follows Achaekek, the Blood God. Tooth wanted to join the Red Mantis but they wouldn't let him in. He has his own interpretation of the Blood God's faith: it is sinful to kill without payment (unless in self-defence); mortals should follow true gods (following false gods is the worst sin). He's a sovereign court member because Achaekek supports rule by divine right.
As long as you have a suitable concept for the character, and solid reasoning why he/she/it should work with the Pathfinder Society and Explore, Report & Cooperate, the various (authorised) evil deities present lots of opportunities.

I have a LN Half-Orc warpriest of Asmodeus, he has profession barrister but also gets along great with most parties as long as they are willing to owe him a favor in exchange for healing. Most people in my PFS group bring their own healing anyway so few ppl rarely owe him. But i find characters who worship Evil deities (especially lawful ones) will go out of their way to make sure people like them so no malcontent towards their deity is sowed.

I looked over the list. What about Yog-Sothoth? He/She/It is a CN god and is not listed as being acceptable.
From the Additional Resources entry for Inner Sea Gods: "Gods: all of the gods listed in the appendix are legal choices except daemon harbingers, great old ones, infernal dukes, malebranche, nascent demon lords, orc deities, outer gods, qlippoth lords, and whore queens."

Alright, but what is the rational for this? You can hypothetically be a good cleric of some outer gods.

you can worship whomever or whatever you want.
In PFS there are restrictions. The Guide, FAQ, and additional resources limit the choices. Still there's a HUGE selection.
Norgorber NE is on the approved list – Sources: Core Rulebook, The Inner Sea World Guide, Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Gods and Magic, Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Inner Sea Gods (PC Alignment N)
Being that he is the god of secrets, his worshipers generally never admit to worshiping him, they always choose a cover story and carry a false holy symbol. see Julian's post above.
most people have a character concept and go with what feels right. Others filter based on the Domains they want. Some classes have a faith option to choose a "philosophy".

Pretty sure because it's the territory of the 'edgy lords' that would want to use it as an excuse for any of a number of things, but could be mistaken.
In addition, that kind of ineffable madness at a table would be more than any one player could handle, much less the GM. Better to leave that for the home campaigns...

Indeed good sir, I serve the goddess myself and find such thoughts deplorable.

Basically, you can worship any evil god except demon lords, infernal dukes, daemon harbingers, whore queens, and the great old ones.
That said, if you worship and evil god as a cleric or other class with an aura, you will have an evil aura even if you are neutral. There are some scenarios where that might be a very bad thing, and could cause the scenario to be unsuccessful.

I totally have a very insane cleric of Lamashtu in Core that joined the Silver Crusade ("WON'T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!?!?") with Profession: Childcare. He's SC, in part, due the ability to take the trait that increases his aura strength. If I ever play him again, he'll start stunning lowbie paladins soon when they detect his OVERWHELMING EVIL AURA. :-D
The key is that the character should not be disruptive due to their deity. I've also got a Norgorberite arcane trickster named Rumor. Folks have generally enjoyed working with Rumor, though he makes sure to redact his name from their reports.

Technically the rules might allow this but anyone who's ever played CoC would recognise this for the rubbish concept it is. Being a worshipper of the Old Ones means that you're just like one of those mad cultists and are pretty much a sociopath in that you're removing yourself from empathy with your fellow mortals.
That viewpoint simply isn't compatible with a good alignment. It is however extremely compatible with an evil one.
