price of enchanted arrows

Rules Questions

Hello,

I am running Giantslayer, and the giants are using +1 human or dwarf bane bow ammunition. How the heck do I price these? What's the price of a single arrow?

Ammunition is enchanted in blocks of 50. So find the price for a normal weapon with the same enchantments, then divide by 50 to get the price for a single piece.

50 masterwork arrows: 300gp (plus a bit for the arrow itself, but it is negligible)
+1 bane: 8,000gp

So 8,300gp for 50 +1 bane arrows, or (8300/50=) 166gp each.

The cost of the arrow itself is indeed negligible. 20 arrows comes out to 1gp, so 50 would be 2gp and 5sp. Divided by 50, it comes out to a whopping... 5cp.

I thought the price might be divided by 20, since that's how much arrows come in?

I divided by 50 because I was starting at the cost of 50 arrows (2gp 5s). If you're starting from the base 1gp for 20 arrows, it still comes out to 5cp each (1 arrow = 5cp = 1/2 sp = 1/20 gp).

Oh, how do you price a Large mithral breastplate?

You want the Armor for Unusual Creatures table, which says armor for a Large humanoid is double the normal price (and weight). So a Large breastplate is 400 gp. Making it mithral doesn't depend on size (don't think about this too hard), so that just adds 4000 for medium armor, for a total of 4400.

That's just messed up. What about the price of all that extra mithril that goes into making Large sized armor? Oh well. I suppose rules are rules.
