Adding spells to you spell list?

Pathfinder Society

Hi all!

I'm thinking of making my first PFS character, and I'd like to make a sorcer that's focused on mastering all of the cantrips and modifying them with Metamagic, as well as a few 1st lvl spells.

The part I'm stumbling on is adding cantrips/orsons/0-lvl spells from other lists into my own. With all the FAQs and such, it's really confusing trying to make sense of things, just looking for some help.

Eg, how can I add Brand to my spell list?

I know of a few traits that can add orsons or 0-lvl spells as SLAs, and I'll probably do that, but I'm looking for the real deal as well.

Welcome to the instution, here's a quick guide

Especially relevant, you'll probably be able to order the ioun stone, complete with the brand orison, when you hit level 3 if it's that important to your build. You'll need to own seeker of secrets though (which is a good book to pick up anyway)

Those are now fairly worthless, and no longer work for this purpose.

Spontaneous Caster (Sorcerer) or Prepared caster (Wizard)?

Sorcerer have access to Pages and Rings of Spell Knowledge. Pages store a spell of equal or lesser level, and you can cast it as part of your spell list.
Likewise, the Ring can do likewise, those you need to see the spell cast to imprint it on the ring.

My current thinking is:

Human sorcerer
Trait (Regional) Arcane Dabbler:
2 non harmful cantrips, 1/day each, CL 1, if CL in casting class use that
Trait (Magical) Magical Talent:
Choose 1 0-lvl spell, 1/day as SLA, CL 1, if CL in casting class use that
Extra Cantrips X 2

That gives me:
8 cantrips known
3 cantrips as SLAs, two of which must be non harmful, the other can be from any list.

For my lvl 1 spells:
Snapdragon Fireworks
Mage Armour
<something else cool>

Rather than Magical Talent, I would recommend Two World Caster, which actually allows you to pick one cantrip/orison that *isn't* on your regular spell list (such as, say, Create Water or Guidance), and add it to your spell list.

Benefit:
Select one 0-level spell from a class spell list other than your own. This spell is a 0-level spell on your class spell list (or a 1st-level spell if your class doesn't have 0-level spells). For example, if you are a druid, you could select mage hand and thereafter prepare it as a 0-level druid spell; if you are a sorcerer, you could select know direction as a 0-level sorcerer spell known.

You can also pick up a cantrip/orison by having a non-standard Wayfinder. My favorite one is the Jade Wayfinder (gives you guidance), but others can give different cantrip/orisons. My alchemists often pick up a Discerning Wayfinder (in order to get detect magic).

The posters question was specifically to add spells that he could personally cast, not items casting spells for him.

Ohh, awesome!

I guess I missed this one in my search. Yay!
My plan is 11cha so I can use those few lvl 1 spells I have.

Debating on extra cantrips, or Metamagic feats.
On one hand, mid get closer to my goal of having all the sorcerer cantrips, but on the other hand, Eclipse spell makes Light and Snapdragon Firework awesome.
