Death Ward vs. Power Word Kill - Save Type?

Rules Questions

Grand Lodge

Death Ward states that it allows a save against a death effect even if a save wouldn't normally be allowed, such as against Power Word Kill. However, it doesn't seem to say whether the new save is Fort, Ref, or Will. Is there errata on this somewhere? If not, what would people suggest?

Fortitude, just like the destruction spell.

I would base it on its school:

School enchantment (compulsion) [death, mind-affecting]

I would call it a will save.

Were it a necromancy spell like destruction, I would go with fort. But it is enchantment, I think you aught to go with will. You are compelling their mind to die, not withering their body.

The various power word spells are all enchantments and compulsions, so will save.

Logic is sound, I'd go with that.
