We will soon be updating 2-4B. The following During This Scenario power has been added: "On your combat check, you may bury the top card of your deck to add 1d6 and the Acid or Fire trait."

Thanks, Vic. That helps.

Makes a lot of sense.

Although it takes away the fun of being the only character in a five-character party with reliable Fire or Acid combats.

My solo Enora had less problems with needing Fire/Acid and more with the 8 Con check (on d4) to close a location, with no villain to chase there to close it for her. Using BoGozreh, 4th time was the charm :P

In what circumstance would someone pick Acid with this power? Adding Fire gives you a free die against several banes. I suppose there might be a character power I'm overlooking that boosts Acid checks. Or there could ever be one in the future.

One that jumps out at me is the blessing of Isis that adds 2 dice to a check that invokes the acid trait.

There's a fair number of those in Wrath.

You are unlikely to meet Wrath monsters in a Season of the Runelords adventure, unless you've created some fun mashup. I had forgotten about the Shining Child, I was just thinking about the various trolls in sets 3-4.

Depending on which power feats you've taken (and how many you can take at this point), Acid would also help Evoker Ezren before Fire would.

Wrath Element Master Seoni would get bonuses to Acid, as well (assuming you took Acid as your first power feat and then adding to your checks that have that element).

I was pointing out the reason a Wrath character has this ability.
