I know Starfinder wont be out until Gencon, but will there be any events that will allow attendees to playtest Starfinder at all? Maybe a few lottery tables run by the developers?
This is a pretty belated response, but I thought it was worth following up because I'm betting Grumpus is not the only one who is curious.
Now that the list is up, if one were to go to the events page and scroll down a bit, there should be some checkboxes on the left to narrow down events by Game System...

I can't yet even cast a Simulacrum.
What sort of biologist are you? Student, post-doc, professor, industry worker (you know, genetically engineering supersoldiers and such).
I'm a physics prof at a small obscure liberal arts college in Western PA.

You can find the list of approved t-shirts here.
That list is incomplete until Paizo approves Hawaiians. Just sayin.

I'm a molecular biologist. I used to be an industry worker, for various companies/government. But I hit the glass ceiling real quick so now I work in IT.
But cloning is easy, when you have most of the components you need in your own body.

If you want a badge holder to have a seat at a table, it has to be on its own account. If it's someone who you do not want to be at a table alone (such as a minor) then set them up with an account and buddy up with them. Note, the buddy system only works for the lottery, once the general registration begins, you have to add each event on each account.

"Event Lottery Close" / "Open Event Sign-Up" question:
.
The lottery closes on Wednesday at noon, Paizo standard time.
The open event sign-up begins five hours later.
.
Um, 'Hello'.... When will we learn what lottery events we are awarded?
It seems as though one is advised to sign-up for open events prior to knowing what lottery events one will attend. Then, after one learns which lottery events one will attend, cancel one's sign-up to a few open events! So at about 5:00 on Wednesday I'll sign up for a fun PFS Scenario on Saturday morning, then cancel it later when I get assigned to an even funner lottery event during that time.

How do you sign up for the lottery? The only thing I could figure out how to do was rank my preferences. Is there a window/tab to sign up do I need to log onto Piazo.com before ranking so the lottery automatically records my ranking preference? Do you need my Paizo con badge number to sign up ?
By ranking your choices you have entered the lotto.

Um, 'Hello'.... When will we learn what lottery events we are awarded?
Sometime after the close of the lottery, and before Open Event signup. In past years they have been simultaneous - they may not this year. The exact time has been the most subject-to-change aspect of the lottery in every year.
