I'm curious as to what 3rd party fantasy game worlds are available for 5th edition D&D. If I pick up a different game world other than Greyhawk what would you recommend? The requirements of such a game world for me would be as follows:
Generic enough to be used with 5th edition without having to change much.
A world that is very complete. This could be one super massive world under one cover, or one that is supported through a series of world books detailing out different kingdoms of regions of the world.
Current support is very nice especially if it isn't one that has tons of material already available for it.
Very elegant maps and well detailed maps, preferably ones you can also find online in order to download and be able to add your own detail.
Any recommendations?
Please link material I can check out if you can.

There are quite a few out now.
The World of Myr is one that had a recent kickstarter, which failed to fun. However, the campaign guide is actually available from DTRPG for $20.
Primeval Thule is a hyborean inspired game about pre-history, brutal landscapes, and diminished lovecraftian horrors. Conan meets Chthulhu is how they market it. I like it a lot.
Scarred lands is about to be re-imagined with 5e rules, and if you don't want to wait, you can go and get the old 3rd edition books. A good gazetteer would be a good start. Maybe more fleshed out than you had wanted, but I've always loved that setting.
I personally have been working to flesh out a setting called Diem Mundi that entails a world rocked by magical cataclysm that is reshaped and rediscovering the secrets of the opulent and dangerous past. It's magitech heavy.
I have seen a handful of others, but you can really grab from a number of settings available now and just plug the 5e rules into it.

I suspect Lorathorn meant failed to fund (not fun)
Wotc 5e has been just Forgotten Realms, although the Ravenloft they are releasing soon is to be set on a demiplane located in the "shadowlands" (plane of shadow).
I am running my latest campaign in a non-canon greyhawk Amedio Jungle region using Cauldron as the central plot line.
I'm afraid to say that if you are a greyhawk fan you'll find it tough to move on.

Eh, there really hasn't been any substantial level of support for Greyhawk since 3rd edition began. v3.0 and v3.5 had very minimal, and 4E had nothing. Then again, you can pretty much say the same for any campaign setting outside of the Forgotten Realms and Ebberon.

5th Edition Midgard is relatively new to 5E support (since August 2015), but it has a steady stream of releases coming in the next few months to a year.
Migard currently has the core hardcover setting book, a Southlands expansion book in high detail with downloadable map, two books of heroic races and backgrounds, and (as of this writing) 4 adventures.
I'll agree with Norman that it's really tough to see any support for Greyhawk in the last 10 years or so. Which doesn't mean it isn't an awesome setting (because it is), but it certainly is possible to run through the canonical materials.

My comment about being tough to move on from greyhawk was more that it's a pretty classic and iconic world. Those that have got deeply into it seem to struggle to move on to something else, despite the lack of recent support. I find I am able to play campaigns set in other worlds but I keep coming back to greyhawk.

I feel the same reluctance to move on as well. Home brew is always a possibility but it takes years to have a real concrete world. When I first started gaming, everyone made their own world, though nobody had anything substantial in detail. Setting Greyhawk aside feels wrong despite the lack of support.

Not a whole world by any means, but will be built up by Gazetteers and Adventures via Kickstarter, and a future website, and is fully 5th ed SRD
