The beginning of yet another fantastic day!
Get out there and grab a double fistful of it!
Whoa! My last post was over a week ago. Let me explain.
No, wait. Let me sum up.....
10 April - diagnosed with the flu and put on Tamiflu.
11-13 April - Blargh!
14 April - back on feet just in time to go to the downtown hotel I have for the PE Exam the next day. Later in the evening, I finally confirm that the Tamiflu has given me insomnia.
15 April - operating on about 2-3 hours of sleep, I proceed to take the 8 hour PE (Professional Engineers) Exam.
16 April - lack of sleep was finally catching up with me.
17 April - f@@& this shit, I'm taking a sleeping pill.
18 April - slept more, but woke up to torrential rains. Many roads flooded. I man-up and drive to work anyway. I am one of 4 (maybe 5 by now) people in the office.

It's pretty depressing to see what the original Penn stations versus what we have today. And they tried to do the same thing to Grand Central too. Blah, no thanks, modern architecture really is quite terrible.

I slept trough the support act of a metal concert
I think it was a Black Sabbath show, but I am not sure, it was somewhere in the 90s

Old topic but here it goes:
I slept standing up, at church...
I slept in an abandoned hotel, with bats coming out of an open cistern!
I slept on crowded car for two days
I slept on an airport waiting for the sun to rise (darn red eye flights)
I doozed off on a biz meeting... so embarrasing
I slept on the same room with a Paizo overlord! :D

Don't be coy. Not when there's a Lovecraft Bar outing at stake.

Now I think there is a lot of modern architecture that is beautiful. But Penn Station is not it.

It's like the big book of British smiles in the Simpsons, you need a worst case example to show the up and coming architecture students to show them what not to do.
So really, Penn Station is making the rest of the world a prettier place. Just not Penn Station.

Well, time to read some more about the alternate timeline where King George II exiles his son Frederick to Virginia, thus setting off a very interesting chain of events vis-a-vis American development.
Oh, and do an hour of elliptical whilst perusing. For the weekend looms, and I'm assuming there will be a lot of eating of fatty foods and quaffing of potent potables.
*blink*

Ended up staying at work until lunch time yesterday, when my supervisor mentioned a rumor they might close my main route home (I-45). By the time I got home, the rain had stopped. And it hasn't started again yet.
So....some of the flood waters have receded, but there are still many areas of high water. Schools are closed...again (damn slacker teachers), so wife stayed home with the kids again (daycare does whatever the schools do).
I'm back in the office again. More people today. Huzzah!

Kudos for mentioning the Big Book of British Smiles. :)

I just won another book in a raffle.
This one looks cool, and is set in Canada Company Town
Nothing better than a free book!
