It's 90 degrees where I am in Pasadena right now.

Currently hovering around 65 here in Syracuse, though given the unbelievable temperature swings we've been having all year, it'll be snowing next week.

We got up to 80 earlier, about 75 now.

So far it looks like it's sticking around.

63 on Cape. The nightmare might be over.

Liberty's Edge

I have no idea what temperature it is in South Carolina. Feels nice, though.

Get out there and grab a double fistful of it!

Whoa! My last post was over a week ago. Let me explain.

No, wait. Let me sum up.....

10 April - diagnosed with the flu and put on Tamiflu.
11-13 April - Blargh!
14 April - back on feet just in time to go to the downtown hotel I have for the PE Exam the next day. Later in the evening, I finally confirm that the Tamiflu has given me insomnia.
15 April - operating on about 2-3 hours of sleep, I proceed to take the 8 hour PE (Professional Engineers) Exam.
16 April - lack of sleep was finally catching up with me.
17 April - f@@& this shit, I'm taking a sleeping pill.
18 April - slept more, but woke up to torrential rains. Many roads flooded. I man-up and drive to work anyway. I am one of 4 (maybe 5 by now) people in the office.

^Most ducky! Hope you improve zombeh!

Fair enough. But the original station was an architectural jewel, and the new one is a hodgepodge of low ceilings, artificial light, and cheap, crumbling materials.

It's pretty depressing to see what the original Penn stations versus what we have today. And they tried to do the same thing to Grand Central too. Blah, no thanks, modern architecture really is quite terrible.

I slept trough the support act of a metal concert

I think it was a Black Sabbath show, but I am not sure, it was somewhere in the 90s

Old topic but here it goes:

I slept standing up, at church...
I slept in an abandoned hotel, with bats coming out of an open cistern!
I slept on crowded car for two days
I slept on an airport waiting for the sun to rise (darn red eye flights)
I doozed off on a biz meeting... so embarrasing
I slept on the same room with a Paizo overlord! :D

5 1/2 hours landscaping. Then went home and did an hour on my own plot. Then went for a 1/2 mile swim at the Y. Now off to gym.

Now I think there is a lot of modern architecture that is beautiful. But Penn Station is not it.

It's like the big book of British smiles in the Simpsons, you need a worst case example to show the up and coming architecture students to show them what not to do.

So really, Penn Station is making the rest of the world a prettier place. Just not Penn Station.

My poor hounds are exhausted

Great night at the gym. Really getting into weight day. Did the leg machine- 100 reps with no rests at 120 pounds. Huzzah.

I'm ready for Saturday.

That's good, because we are going to fatten you up with fried chicken, bubble tea, cheese, and waffles.

Excellent..protein for my exercise endeavors.

I'm in the worst shape of my life. I'm ready for death.

I'm exercising like a mad bastard, yet I am still a fat bastard.

O age, thou vexeth me.

Ah well, lack-a-day. I care not. I feel healthy, I can still put in a five-hour-day of heavy manual labor and exercise afterwards. Who am I trying to impress? As long as there is solid muscle under the fat, I am happy

Two classes and finals left for my semester. A and A- so far. I think I might have found my calling. I should get into real estate law here. I could get a side project flipping homes.

It looks like the car I thought was a low-priced vehicle would cost me 38K new...

Did I miss something?

Oh well. Not for another few years anyway. I'm just visualizing what I want. I am starting with my next house as well. Putting a solid vision out in the aether makes it happen.

Well, time to read some more about the alternate timeline where King George II exiles his son Frederick to Virginia, thus setting off a very interesting chain of events vis-a-vis American development.

Oh, and do an hour of elliptical whilst perusing. For the weekend looms, and I'm assuming there will be a lot of eating of fatty foods and quaffing of potent potables.

*blink*

Scarab Sages

Ended up staying at work until lunch time yesterday, when my supervisor mentioned a rumor they might close my main route home (I-45). By the time I got home, the rain had stopped. And it hasn't started again yet.

So....some of the flood waters have receded, but there are still many areas of high water. Schools are closed...again (damn slacker teachers), so wife stayed home with the kids again (daycare does whatever the schools do).

I'm back in the office again. More people today. Huzzah!

I am seeing subtle results.

It really is a lifestyle, not a body change. I see that now.

It's just time. That and discipline. The swimming seems to be helping. Plus, I might not be able to drop some of the weight. So be it. I'm eating super healthy and exercising 3 hours a day+. I'm good

One class left in the semester! Woot!

GOOD MORNING TREEFORTNAM!

A day flush with potential. I will start it off methinks with a walk through the woods with my faithful hounds.

But, prior to that, an hour on the elliptical.

Dear everyone,

Looks like we will be having one more person join us for Saturday! My friend from across the street who joins me on my daily commute is excited about lovecraft in particular. She is a huge cthulu fan and also into video gaming and stuff.

This is gonna be awesome!
