Not using the Rebellion rules?

Hell's Rebels

Liberty's Edge

Does anyone alreafy have experiences playing this AP without the Rebellion Subsystem? Do you think its possible at all?

I will DM this AP, but am thinking on not using those rules. I know my players, and I am sure they will not exactly like such stuff. They rather handwave those kind of things...

There are rules for it in each of the books explaining what to do if you don't want to use 'em, so its most certainly possible. Takes so much fun out of the campaign though in my personal opinion - but to each group their own.

There are?! oops, totally missed that. I've worked through part one by now....

*goes back, checking*

Thanx, CP!

Since suffering through Kingmaker, I've sworn an oath to never, ever use adventure path subsystems again. Worked great with Jade Regent, seems to work with Hell's Rebels too.

Don't ignore the forewords in an AP! We often put extra advice and stuff in there to help run the adventures.

I love the forwards, always very enlightening. :-)

I read them. But the note, that you can run HR without the rebellion rules is this be found on p. 22 :)

Depends on the volume. It's in the forward for the third adventure.

If you aren't using the rules (or even if you are), a fun prop is to get one of those number flipcharts that people use for scores in quizzes and set it up next to the GM screen.

Flip the numbers as the Rebellion supporters go up and down so your players have a constant reminder of what they're trying to do, and how their actions are impacting the rebellions progress.

Oh, ok! I am not that far into it. Just finished part 1, which is awesome!

I'll check it out - thanx for the info!
