Apparently the dvd and blu-ray will be released in June. The directors are apparently thinking of a sequel.
I am personally looking forward to the blu-ray release of this movie. And I too would love an RPG based on Zootopia. Something open-world would be great.
Zootopia Noir, a dark and gritty story about a newbie cop who works their way up the cut throat ladder of ZPD Advancement from traffic through Homicide(Mamiliacide?) and Vice, faced with corruption, conspiracy, and prejudice, will they make it out with their morals intact or fall into the same quagmire of illicit activity as their fellows?

That reminds me of the suggestion I saw for a Zootopia game. LA Noir style game. I would love something like that (never played it, but it seemed interesting, as I never had a PS3) mixed with RPG. But I doubt we will get anything better than a child's game since it is Disney and "Disney is for kids". *rolls eyes*

It came out for PC too.

Minions was good but not nearly 1 billion dollars good.
Minions wasn't really all that great, over-all.
It certainly wasn't terrible or even bad, but it just wasn't... I dunno... enthralling.
I might have liked it better had I successfully seen either of the Despicable Me films, but, unfortunately, I neither have them, nor easy access to them. I'd heard that Minions was a potential stand-alone film, and it was (though I clearly recognize at least some of the ties to Despicable Me beyond the minions themselves - I've been exposed to the iconography enough that it's fine), but it just wasn't as engaging as I would have wanted an animated film about little yellow goofballs who are very lucky (for good and ill) following around the biggest meanie on the block (incidentally, this is not a spoiler: I'm telling you the opening scenes and basic premise).
The others are awesome, though.
EDIT: To be clear, I'm comparing Minions to, say, Home or Kung Fu Panda as much Toy Story (any) or Frozen. While I didn't see many animated films I recognize from WB or Illumination, I'd put Minions on about the same level as, say, Shark Tale or Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (though the latter was, to me, more exciting), both by Dreamworks.

Not surprised. Loved that movie. Wish it had a DVD release though.
The "home video" release is Tomorrow, June 7 2016. If it is like other Disney releases, it will have a Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital release version, which is usually the one I purchase. I will be purchasing this tomorrow when I am able.

Lately, Disney is releasing DVD's and Blue Ray's as separate items instead of bundling them into one as other other companies are. Also, they are only putting extras in the Blue Ray box.

Maybe just in Europe? Because I got this DVD/BluRay bundle today.
EDIT: Also, Zootropolis? Did they actually redub all the dialogue to make that name change?
But, yeah, I see what you mean: DVD, BluRay, or BluRay/3D bundle.

I bought the DVD/Bluray/Digital pack yesterday, and right underneath that was just a DVD version. So they are selling them bundled into one.
As for the Zootropolis comment: Yes, they redubbed it for many European countries and Asian countries, putting in those names instead of the American Zootopia. Reasons? Name conflicts, couldn't get the trademark or whatever, etc. There's a document out there (could even be on the bluray, haven't watched that yet) as to why it is called something different in various countries.
Also, the male news anchor is different depending on your country. America and Canada have a moose, China has a Panda, Japan has a tanuki, Australia has a koala, and I think some places in Europe have something different. I thought that was a nice little touch.

[one might argue the female lead is jewish...but she's jewish that is also white]
Coming to this a little after the fact, but just saw this because of the "Minions" references and had a question. Fist off, I've seen exactly the dynamic you're talking about, at other theatres and for other movies, so I know where you're coming from.
I am confused, though, as to why you'd consider a (semetic) Jew to be "white," but consider a (semetic) Arab to be a "non-white minority." (Yes, a lot of Israel was repatriated from Eastern Europe, but by the same token, large portions of the population of Western Europe are now many generations removed from Algeria, Turkey, or any number of other Middle Eastern countries.)

Because Race and Racism aren't rational categories that neatly divide along national lines. Which side of the white/non-white line someone falls on is a cultural thing. It's arguable whether Jews are actually treated as "white" in the US, but they're a lot closer than Arabs.
Remember it wasn't that long ago that the Irish weren't "white".

Race is arbitrary. Here's a three-part series about the philosophy of it.
Todd in the Shadows, a music critic, made an interesting comment about Zootopia: The predators are a minority in Zootopia, but they wield the power. This actually makes it a rather complex metaphor. The closest racial comparison would be nations in Africa that still have the white descendants of imperialists in power. You could also make a "We are the 99%" comparison...but let's not.
