Can a Core Barbarian take the Unchained Barbarian Powers

I've been looking through the boards and internet and I cannot find a straight answer. I wish to have my core barbarian take the accuracy stance but I do not know if the unchained powers are just for the unchained barbarian. So... Can a Core Barbarian take the Unchained Barbarian Powers ?

PFS core is restricted to the core rulebook*, unchained is not an option.

Since this isn't in the Pathfinder Society forum, I'm guessing Core Barbarian means the original Barbarian, not a Barbarian in Core PFS. As long as it's compatible with the class (no bonuses to rage temps, etc.), I see no reason why not in home play.

Core can mean a lot of things, i've seen it used as expansively as "anything Paizo". I think you are asking about a Chained Barbarian using an Unchained Rage Power, in which case i suggest you consult your GM.

If you mean just "the class barbarian from the CRB" then yes, the unchained rules simply list them as "rage powers" and the CRB lists those ones as "rage powers" and both classes say you get "rage powers" at such and such levels.

So I would say yes, either class would get rage powers from either book. If they had been called something different, like "unchained rage powers" then it would have been definitely no.

There is a possible exception for not being able to take any of the "stance" powers, since the rules outlining how that works and the barbarian being able to do it are only technically granted to the unchained barbarian.

As Crimeo says, you are confused by the word "core".

There is a "PFS Core" that uses only the core rulebook.

There is the Barbarian from the core rulebook, that is just Barbarian, or some call it "chained barbarian" to differentiate it from "unchained".

So if you are not playing PFS Core, then probably yes, depending on your DM. BUT, many of the unchained powers are specific rewrites of the normal Barbarian, and were not written with that "chained" barbarian in mind. I did not have the time to figure out which Unchained powers are rewrites, and which are actually new, and whether they balance or not, so at my table I told players no they can't take any rage powers from Unchained. It wasn't a big deal to them. All of unchained are only optional rules to begin with, so your DM could disallow the entire book if he wanted.

Actually this is a pretty important point, yes, because if the GM allowed the unchained book in the first place, he/she almost certainly also removed the chained barbarian from the game at the same time, making it 99% of the time a moot point.
