Hello all
I'm toying with the idea of writing my own campaign based in the pathfinder world. Specifically with the area between the Realm of the Mammoth Lords and the Worldwound. I'm going to be playing pretty loose with the canon.
I would love advice about....well pretty much anything you can give me on this. We are going to start at 1, and maybe go all the way through 20. Depends on how the group likes it, and if I think it's good etc.
Basically, the crusader cities are trying to establish a new city in between the realm of the mammoth lords and the worldwound. This would be to initially attack the worldwound from another side, and keep it in check. It would also, eventually, be to tame that area.
Being that the worldwound will be there I'll rely heavily on demons. From what I've read that area east of the Realm of the Mammoth Lords (RML from here on)has giant flora and fauna. I was curious if you could give me any idea of what kind of creatures, encounters, and environments to use. I do not want to use dinosaurs, as they have never fit with my idea of fantasy (just my opinion). But mastadons, sabertooths, etc are in.
Any other advice would be greatly appreciated as well.

Well, the giant monster template will be very useful. Giant dire rats, giant snow lions, that sort of thing.
You can also check out the Monsters by Terrain page on the PRD for more ideas. Especially check out Plains (Cold).
For the World Wound, I highly recommend reading Dave Gross's King of Chaos. It's not a reference book, but packed with cool ideas.
