I just got the shipping email for this order.

I was rather surprised, though, to see that two items in my sidecart (the Monk class deck that starts my class deck subscription), and the "City of Secrets" hardcover) were not included with the order.

Hi JohnF,

The sidecart items were added to the sidecart after the October order had already been generated. The system checks the sidecart for items during the order spawning process each month. If you are adding items to the sidecart after a month's order has been generated, they will stay in the sidecart for the following possible month.

If you are wanting to add items to a subscription order that has been generated, you need to select the "Combine It" option on Step 2 of the check out process, and pick the pending order to combine it with.
