Scarab Sages

Have a couple of question on best way to prep for a PFS core game as the GM.
The new local Game store has asked if I would run a PFS night for them so I agreed my question is ive been reading up on some of the posts here and ive come to the decision that the best way to start off would be with
In the service of lore
Wounded wisp
Confirmation,

in that order, does this look doable? also any other suggestion on prep idea`s would be appreciated.

This is a great list for starting off a new lodge. You might want to take a look at Master of the Fallen Fortress as this former Free RPG Day module (can be run in 1 session), gives an in game reason to join the Society.

For prep ideas:

Read the scenario/module twice
Check the stat blocks on all creatures.
Look up any abilities you may not be familiar with
Predraw all maps
Relax and have fun.

Take a look at GM 101 as this has great references for prepping of scenarios/modules. Link

Hope this helps. Good luck and may you have many players.

Not a problem Howie43, Glad I could help.

Woran, I keep forgetting to plug that one on here. When talking to our local GMs, I mention it for their preparation.

Liberty's Edge 1/5

Also, it's a good idea to print off all the core pre-gens to have available for play. Some people may not show up with a finished character, or any character, and it's usually better to have them run a pre-gen than to try and build a character in the short time you have between showing up to the venue, and starting the scenario.

The Exchange 3/5

One piece of advice I can add: While playing CORE I've noticed that newer GMs aren't always aware of the Secondary Success Conditions document. They outline what must be accomplished for PCs to gain the 2nd prestige point since faction missions were done away with. The Secondary Success Conditions is a free download found right here at the Paizo site.

Enjoy,

Ahz
